> 3 dayWhat can I say. It’s Noctua. It performs within 1-2 degrees of a D15. But much smaller. So it has great case/video card/ram clearance. Still extremely beefy. Added heat pipes, denser radiator. The best fans. All make this one of the best air coolers available.

> 3 dayThe only thing I do not like about it is the lack of installing information you have to pull on the tabs much harder than you would think to mount the fans but it may be user error

> 3 dayPerformance aside, I paid full price for a new cooler and was sent one that had been damaged. The heatsink had several bent fins and all of the bags of screws had been opened and were strewn all over the package.

> 3 dayWhen it comes to air cooling a CPU there is no better choice than noctua. The product arrived in perfect condition and is very visually appealing. Mounting was easy and the product quality was typical noctua - excellent. Im running a ryzen 7 5800x and cinebench r23 multi core peaked at 69 degrees celsius in a Lian li Lancool 2 mesh case. Also - I had the nh-d15s before and found that mounting the nh-u12a and installing the fans were much easier.

09-06-2025I picked this up to replace a msi coreliquid aio that failed on me after only 3 weeks. With that being the 2nd aio to bite it for me I decided to give air cooling a try and read a ton of good reviews about the u12a, and boy did it live up to them.

> 3 dayBought this cooler as it was the only one that supported LGA 1700 out of the box. It keeps my 12600k in the high 60s under load.

> 3 dayI was looking forward to giving this product a good review. The main cooler unit was impressive and easy to install. But, the two fans that attach to the sides came with the most ridiculously unusable clips. Why does Noctua believe that a product costing such a premium should deserve such cheaply produced clips? Neither clips would attach to the main unit with enough force to remain in place. I ended up sending this back for a refund and buying a Lian-Li Galahad 360 AIO instead.

> 3 dayI looked for alternatives but decided to bite the bullet and go for an all black , needlessly over expensive Noctua for my 12600K. Ive not OCed the CPU and it runs at 32C+ with light work load, 63C - 72C gaming and 28C idle. I have no issues with build quality , noise , instructions and the mounting system Im just pissed at having to pay $30 more for non-puke brown so 4/5 stars.

Greater than one weekCustom open-air Intel Core i5 build. The smallest Noctua couldnt quite pull it off, so I exchanged for this unit. Soak test kept me under 65C at less than 1000 rpm, so I have an effective cooling solution thats really quiet. Nice.
