> 24 hourWhat was once the king of the air coolers has sadly fallen to the bottom of the pile. Noctua took the easiest, most well-built installation method and reverted to an old-school method that requires the placement of screws into the backplate (they used to be pre-attached) using plastic c-clips to hold it in place (cheap, easily broken) and Noctua includes two spare c-clips because, it says in the instructions, they can be damaged easily. The previous version of this cooler was practically impossible to install wrong or damage any of the components. So, Noctua kept the same model number, kept the same price, but completely changed the mounting method and materials. It is now one of the most difficult coolers to install because there are a lot of mistakes you can make.

> 24 hourKeeps my Ryzen 7 3800X at around 50 degrees at idle, and around 70 or so at peak load. I can even get an overclock of 4.4 GHz at reasonable temperatures, but it does get quite toasty at the end of a Cinebench run at that speed.

> 24 hourBeen reading lately that air coolers are as good or better than AIOs so decided to give this air cooler a try. I must say I m impressed: build quality and attention to detail is far beyond anything I am use too (mostly Arctic cooling the benchmark as far as Im concerned). The box came with easy to understand directions and everything, and some spares, that I could possiblly need Including a Allen shaped Phillps that really made installing this easy. I have a TUF Wifi M-ATX and this did not crowd the RAM which in my case is pretty tall. There is still room for two sticks of RAM and another fan on the cooler. This lowered my temps on a 5700g from 89 C to 67C on Cinebench. What I liked most were the directions that told me to just put a pea size drop of thermal compound (included) in the middle of the dye and tighten ALL the screws to 6 Nm. I think if everyone followed these directions even a first time builder could get good results. The directions explained that 6Nm is just tight, no further. It uses the the stock back plate and only the two side panels need to be removed to install. This matches a Coolermaster 120 AIO with two 120 MM fans and radiator that I have installed on a 2700X. another plus is there are no LEDs and the wires which are usually a pain in the neck. Cheaper than an AIO, fits in most, 99% of cases, and almost dead silent. I can hear it ramp up when I start Cinebench , but I have to listen closely. Will buy this again if any of my computers need a new cooling solution. The Engineers at Nocturna really thought this one through, Bravo.

> 24 hourI bought this to replace my AMD Wraith Stealth stock cooler that came with my CPU. This is a huge improvement in both noise levels and cooling efficiency. It looks really slick in the black color as well.

> 24 hourPretty straight forward to install. Comes with an instruction packet as well. This is the second one I bought after i bought one for my brothers build. Noticed the temperature on his CPU was always low and since I was using a stock AMD Prism cooler I decided to upgrade to this one as well.

> 24 hourI bought this for my i5 10th gen, and was pleasantly surprised at how well this fan works. Super quiet, even under load. Great purchase for price, would definitely buy it again. Was tempted to buy a water cooled system for noise, but I cant even tell this fan is on.

> 24 hourA great product. First time using a 3rd party cooler as opposed to the stock wraith cooler on my ryzen 5 series (1600 and 3600). Brought my temps from a toasty 90 C to a more comfortable 75 C under full load without any modifications. Another great Noctua product especially as the black finish looks so much better on my rig than than the normal coolers they provide.
