I wanted to get back in to sketching/shading again after years away and had no tools left in my house, so this was an easy choice. This package is a perfect start up for anyone interested in starting or getting back into pencil drawing, with a full compliment of pencils (soft, semi-soft, hard), and a generous sketch pad that actually has some weight to it. Newcomers may find the selection of charcoal tools a bit intimidating, but theyre a nice bonus and allow more room for play and experimentation. At less than $20, even a hesitant would-be artist should be willing to pay to give it a shot. It is not especially accommodating to the traveler, but its only fair that you would have to pay more for a travel kit and extra packaging to secure the tools for easy transport. But if you just want to have a nice set of tools around the house for easy anytime drawing, this is a cinch.

Best product for beginners, my daughter loves this set, she feels like she is now a professional artists. It makes my daughters self confidence boost up since she has this set with family’s support. I recommend this product for beginners and to those who are into sketching, drawing. Perfect size with complete set, as it was advertised.

Awesome drawing set. I moved across country and left all my art supplies when I moved. Saw this, and while a little skeptical given the low price, thought Id give it a shot. Omg, its perfect! Good quality pencils, charcoal, and a nice sketch book thats the perfect size to fit in a bag and walk around with. I am so happy I made this purchase and already know this set will be in my list for gifts for my nieces and nephews this year. If youre looking for a decent set of art supplies, do yourself a favor and just purchase this already.

I have bought 2 of these sets. One for my granddaughter who is just learning to draw and one for myself. It has all I need to draw so plan on keeping it at my cabin so I will always have what I need.

Im a beginner so Id say it seems good. Theres a selection of the most commonly used hardnesses of the pencils. You can use the plastic case they came in to keep your pencils together, organized and ready for use but I will be looking around for a pencil box or holder to make them easier to use and store.

We like that the set was well received by our daughter who is experiencing renewed interest in art. Based on this experience we recommend this drawing set to others looking for something great to do.
