I was recommended this product by a person that is very much into health, fitness and supplements; he described it as pharmaceutical grade. As far as effectiveness goes, who can say? Its generally considered to be healthy and thought to possibly help raise your good cholesterol number, which is why I am taking it. I dont yet have new lab numbers but even if I did, many factors influence blood chemistry so no real conclusions could be drawn. The only side effect Ive experienced is that the awful smell of the fish some of the Asian employees eat at the office doesnt seem to be that bad now. Kevin Jackson

Nothing to complain about here. Ive looked at some sites that analyze the different components in vitamins, protein powders, etc. And NOW always scores high in terms of the actual ingredients being the same as whats on the label. Ive had no issues with these and I think on my third/fourth bottle.

I was very disappointed to discover that it contains soy. This information is listed in small print underother ingredients. Also, the taste is very bitter.
