I’m getting much better first layer results on an Ender 3 Pro with BLTouch.

Purchased this to replace the crappy build plate that comes with the S1 Pro. Just as bad as the stock. Plastic film provides a nice smooth surface and good adhesion at first. The it stops working. If you Z height off you will cut into the build plate which will show up in the following prints.

Mine adheres well, well but after heating it to 70C it started to bubble up in some places, enough so that is throws off my mesh bed leveling by almost 1mm because the probe hits one of those spots.

It worked for me, and that’s saying something, because I’ve been through three different beds on my Ender 3 v2. The bed is very sturdy yet is easy to flex, and the thick magnet sticker is easy to put on without leaving bubbles. Most of all, the adhesion is amazing on this thing. However, different things will work for different people depending on where they live, the climate there, their home, etc. This was just the solution for me. The only bad thing is that prints can sometimes leave marks on it.

Bought in June in July the top layer has began bubbling up. Worked great up until then. Definitely wouldn’t spend the premium price for this bed surface again.

I wanted this to be a good PEI bed. I’ve used others, but parts tend to stick too well to those. I wanted one with a flexing metal base to easily remove parts. Nothing will stick to this though. Slow first layer, increasing flow, kicking up the bed temperature. None of that works. First layer or two goes down fine, then it looses adhesion, the part slips off the bed and the print fails. Do not recommend.

It works so well with PETG

I have no pla sticking issues! Petg I use Magigoo as a pei surface buffer to avoid permanent bonding. I do print Petg at 240c and bed 75c and Creality warns against high temperatures but says it’s good for petg? In any case I print petg! One tip, scuff the pei surface with 000 steel wool if filament starts to not stick. I do that occasionally on another one a year now! Solves sticking issues! Before every print I do a wipe with 91% alcohol to remove hand and finger prints made flexing it. Same on my year old Creality pei surface on another printer.
