This Vertical Laptop Stand will not hold firmly a Macbook air. Do not buy if you have a MacBook Air. I wish I could have returned it in time. Great looks but not functional for a MacBook Air.

Very sturdy but can been a pita to set the mouth to the right width for your laptop

This stand is very secure, it has a lot of weight to it and the hex screws hold the sliding plates very securely. I use this with my Surface Laptop 3 and I liked it so much that I bought another one to use with my work laptop a ThinkPad T14s

Theres some heft to this and I like it. The screws secure the stand nicely. The silicon inserts keep the laptop protected. My laptop had a little bump on it that I had to file off to get the stand to be stable, but thats not an issue of the stand.
