I needed an adapter to hook my HT to my antenna in my office and these work great!

These adaptors are sold and compact. I do think there may be an advantage to having the type with a small flexible lead because the coaxial is pretty stiff. I could see this damaging the antenna port on a handheld over time.

Works to connect the Chinese HTs to the a PL259.

Feels light

Connector center pin hole is not large enough to accept a genuine SMA connector. Totally unusable. I scrapped them.
