This product works great. The 35% solution is much stronger than the other versions, and hence, you dont need to leave it applied for so long. The unofficial directions I received with my order said you can leave on the 35% Opalescence for up to two hours. However, the PDF instruction sheet that you can download directly from the Opalescence website, says specifically to not leave the 35% applied for more than a half an hour. I would recommend that new users keep the solution on for less time in the beginning, gradually building up tolerance. The PF version also contains fluoride to help control sensitivity. When first using the 35%, I left it on for about two hours, and I did experience some sensitivity. The sensitivity went away in a day or two, no problem. After using it a few more times, I am now able to leave it on for about two hours with no sensitivity whatsoever. I cannot imagine trying to sleep with trays in, because you definitely dont want to swallow any of this stuff. Thats one of the main benefits of using the stronger 35% solution: Reduced tray wear time. Since you wont be licking your lips or swallowing for a while, I like to apply a bit of chapstick to my lips, and have a good drink of water before getting started. The PDF instruction sheet from the Opalescence website also states that you should use approximately one third to one half (total) of a syringe worth of solution to fill both trays. Good to know. To target specific stains, I add a little extra to that spot on the tray, and I apply a bit of solution directly to my teeth. The syringe makes it easy to put the product right where you want it. Dont bother putting solution on the back of the trays, because no one is going to look at the back of your teeth. The date codes were explained to me this way: The numbers indicate a month and year of expiration. For instance, V023 indicates that the product expires in February of 2013. The seller I bought from was Jawtooth. As far as trays go, a standard custom mouth guard worked well, though obviously custom fitted trays from your dentist will work better. The mouth guards can be had for about a buck a piece in retail stores, but if you buy them on Amazon, you get three for under two bucks. Nice to have an extra in case of a misfitting. The results this product produces are fantastic. I had a dentist ask me if my teeth were caps. (theyre not) No kidding. I will use this product for as long as Amazon sells it. There is no reason whatsoever to waste your time and money on store bought white strips, solutions, toothpaste, or mouthwash. This product really does whiten your teeth much better. Hope my experience makes using the product a bit easier and less intimidating for you. Ill update if I think of anything else helpful or relevant.

I paired this with a blue light that I have previously used with teeth whitening and it worked great!! I only applied for 10 min and could instantly tell the difference after ONE USE!!! I will exclusively use this product moving forward. The only somewhat downside it that the gel is very sticky but nothing too bad.

DO NOT FOLLOW THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS ON THIS PAGE. Ive used Opalescence gel a lot over the years and never had a problem because my dentist told me to use 1/4 tube per tray or less. The instructions on this page say to use 1/3 to 1/2 tube per tray so I did, thinking the formula changed or something. I scraped the excess gel away but it was still way too much. After 30 minutes the bleach had worked well on my teeth but had burned the hell out of my gums and even turned them white for a short time. Use only a little until you figure out what amount works best for you.

This product is wonderful. I have custom made trays from my dentist and went through a series of whitening about 6 months ago. I recently noticed a slight change in the whiteness of my teeth and thought I would try the 35%. I had zero problems. I have sensitive teeth and still had no problems. I put one small dot of product for each tooth. You really need just a tiny bit to spread over your teeth once you insert the trays. For those that experienced gum irritation.....they used way too much. I whitened top and bottom teeth 4 days in a row for approx 45 min. I managed to stretch 1 syringe for all 4 days! Those 4 days was enough to brighten my teeth back to the whiteness I desire. Highly recommend. I also highly recommend the opalescence tooth paste. Helps with maintenence, as well.

I used these several years ago and they brought my teeth to the desired whiteness level I wanted. I stopped bleaching for a few years and my teeth started getting yellow. I tried the popular Crest brand recently cuz i didnt want to pay up for the Tres gel. I used the Crest strips for a total of ten sessions and got no good results. The Crest strips made my teeth turn gray and didnt whiten but still made my teeth hurt for one or two days. I finally got these again, and after one use, the Tres gel immediatley became whiter with no grayness. I bought a 4-pack, but I save half the gel in the syringe for another treatment so I can get 4 more treatments out of the pack. The directions say dont save any product, but I sealed the syringe really tight and it still works. I know I wont even have to use the whole pack to get my teeth whiter. Maybe just three more treatments and I can stop. My teeth had some sensitivity like 2 out 10 whereas the Crest strips were like 5 out of 10. I use the Tres gel for 45 minutes once per week to help reduce sensitivity but also get the whiteness over time. This is a great tried and true product

The best on Amazon! Dont look any further and dont waste your money on other similar products. I have, the opening at the end of the needle was so large on some of them it just spilled out everywhere it was a mess. Some of them were so full of peroxide I was literally foaming at the mouth. I always go back to these, they might be a little bit more expensive but the shape of the dispenser is perfect to fill a tray and accurate. No mess. As far as whitening, honestly the trick is to just do it often. Trust me Im a very impatient person, I want instant results. But I kept at it like three times a week and you will see results!!

Make sure you do your research on the time you should have them in. My dr told me to put them on overnight in my Invisalign retainer. DONT DO THAT. It’s only meant to be a few hours at a time. If longer, it may make your gums sensitive for a couple days.

This is the sixth time I’ve purchased opalescence 35 from this vendor & it’s legit. Much cheaper than if purchased from the dentist. Very pleased that every batch has had an expiration date 2+ years from date received. Mentioning this because in the past I’ve received nearly-expired or expired product from other vendors. If applied correctly, this doesn’t burn my gums, and I can use it every day (usually up to a week straight) without tooth sensitivity — and I have sensitive teeth & gums.
