Opalescence at Home Teeth Whitening - Teeth Whitening Gel Syringes - 4 Pack of 35% Syringes - Mint

> 3 dayMy 4-pack arrived as two 2-packs sold as a set. Dont know if shipping caused the package seals to detach, but the syringes were intact and the expiration date is 2023, so I wasnt concerned about the product being compromised. Ive used Opalescence in the past, but it requires you to get custom trays made by your dentist. The 15% strength takes several hours, whereas the 35% takes 30-60 minutes (preferred). This method is more effective than Crest strips, which Ive used as well and like, but they only get the front teeth and mostly just the front sides. I started whitening my teeth today and already notice a difference. I didnt have any sensitivity, so Ill do another round tomorrow and possibly a third day to use up the first syringe. Will save the others for touch ups. These wont whiten crowns and bridges, so you can skip those teeth when squirting the gel into your trays--thatll extend how many uses youll get out of each syringe.

Greater than one weekI first got custom whitening trays about fourteen years ago - right after I had my braces removed. I have used just about every gel from several dentists. All of the gels have been far less than 35% and of course took a lot longer per treatment (usually overnight) and many more treatments than this product at 35%. And the gels cost SEVERAL times more from a dentist. One can achieve the same results as this 35% product, but it will take much longer, and will cost much more. There is a balance between the percentage of carbamide peroxide and gum irritation, however - and it varies from person to person (the irritation, that is). But here is what I have found. If I floss my teeth once a day and brush them two to three times a day and use a fluoride rinse Act at night, I can use the Opalescence 35% for one hour per treatment in custom trays. Even after one hour, I can see clear results. If my teeth are still too dim I can use it every day until I get the results I want. I know (sort of) if I have over done it because my dentist will tell me my teeth are too white and off his colour chart. I never tell him this, but I think his teeth are dim and stained. (Sorry if that is mean.) My tips: Brush your teeth at least twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste. Floss once a day and use Act fluoride rinse at night and use THIS gel. This gel is the best I have tried. It works quickly. Short treatment, few treatments. If you cannot tolerate an hour; use the recommended half hour. I dont have sensitivity, but if you do, switch to Sensodine sensitive teeth toothpaste and use the Opalescence less frequently, for a shorter time or both. Also, stop doing those shots of straight Bourbon, because that compounds the irritation to your gums. I vacillate about how often to touch up my teeth - so I asked another Amazon reviewer. Anyway, that is what works for me and I hope this helps you. A bright smile makes an awesome first impression. And second, third... Cheers, Dan

> 3 dayI have 3 stars soley because I am now terrified of using it again and honestly probably won’t. But I will say it does what it’s intended. I had it on for 1 minute and it hurt so bad I normally fight through pain but it was bubbling and stuff so I went to take them out and my GUMS were WHITE. And when I say white I mean WHITE WHITE. I was so terrified I didn’t have a chance to take a picture. Luckily they’re going back to normal. But if you are brave I say go for it cause obviously it will whiten. But DO NOT get it on your gums. Trust me.

> 3 dayI thought I would try this product to see if it has an advantage over the one Ive been using for several years (also from Amazon). I didnt like this one (used it twice) because it is really dense and sticky and very hard to clean off my dental trays after use. (It is not recommended to use very warm or hot water on soft dental trays.) And also difficult to get all the gel out of my mouth. The previous brands product did not cause those difficulties so Im going back to that one. Also, this didnt seem to whiten as much as the previous brand. I doubt Ill even use the remaining syringes in this pack.

> 3 dayYou need to have a tray or a retainer to use the gel. Use only a minute amount because it will irritate your gum if you use too much. It does make your teeth sensitive, so I am only using it once/week. My teeth was pretty white to start with but this gel help rid of surface stains. I use one syringe for 3 whitening sessions, so it’s not a bad deal. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayIve used other whitening products before with limited results. Since I already had custom trays, I decided to try a product that was stronger so that I could enjoy more immediate results. My teeth have always been yellowish, I do drink some coffee and red wines, etc, but do not smoke. So I was expecting my teeth to stay the same dingy color theyve always been after I try to whiten (toothpastes dont work and the weaker treatments dont seem to do much either). So I thought perhaps something stronger would be better. Well, in that regard this stuff works pretty well. I can see results after 2 treatments... BUT... If it had come with instructions, I would have spared myself a day of agony from the ensuing sensitivity from leaving it on too long. I looked up the manufacters info - the 35% solution is recommended for 30 minutes a day. So my hour and half folly worked great - I really DID see a difference, but my lower teeth felt like they had ice picks jabbing through them. It went away after half a day or so, but it was not pleasant while I suffered through it. However, I am enjoying a whiter smile (my husband thinks Im nuts, I smile at anything that reflects just to check out my new teeth). So Ill keep using this, but ONLY for the 30 minutes instructed. So, if the instructions had been included I would probably give 5 starts for ease of use, lack of bad taste, no foaming or gum discoloration. The complete lack of any product information bothered me though. Hard to know how to use it, whom to contact with questions, or even the expiration dates for the syringes I have left. And a little goes a long way with this stuff - Ive done two treatments and still have part of the first syringe left. I dont see how Ill ever get through the other 7 I have left at the rate Im going. But I will have remarkably whiter teeth!

> 3 dayI’ve been using this product for a while and I really like the way it whitens my teeth however every time you push on the applicator the tip breaks off and the whitening gel goes all over the place. This is the third or fourth batch Ive bought that it does this.

Greater than one weekNot sure why the comments are so negative. If you have experience bleaching your teeth, you shouldn’t have a problem. I put a tiny dot in each tooth of my retainer. Once you push them in, tap and push the front of your teeth. Wipe any excess gel. Wait up to an hour. Slight tingling, but no burning. To help with sensitivity, use sensodyne for a few days before bleaching After the first use (I only used for 30 minutes) I can already tell the difference. Will use until I get the whiteness I want.

Greater than one weekOpalescence 35% is amazing stuff that really works! See my tips below before you start using. 1. Start brushing your teeth with Sensodyne or a sensitivity reducing toothpaste a couple days before starting. 2. Make sure to use good retainers for applying the gel. 3. Apply one tiny dot per tooth in the retainer and make sure the retainer is fully dry before applying so it will stay in place. 4. Make sure that none of the gel will come in contact with your gums. 5. Wear them for no longer than 1 hr per day. 6. Swish with water immediately after removing the retainers and gel and make sure not to swallow any gel/water. 7. Then immediately swish with a clear fluoride containing mouthwash such as Tom’s of Maine Whole Care. 8. Don’t eat or drink for 30 minutes and let the fluoride do it’s work. 9. During treatments and for 48 hours post treatment, make sure not to eat or drink anything that could stain your teeth - coffee, soda, tea, berries, mustard, etc.
