> 24 hourThis my first projector. It came with image problem which gave me concerns about the reliability. As soon as I opened the test image I noticed a grayish colorful bar at the bottom of the image. I also noticed a very small gray bar at the top right corner (this one is very small). I returned it and spend $100 more to buy a similar specs projector from a different brand ( Lets call it brand X, I wont say which one in case people think this is an Ad ). Pros: 1. very low fan noise, I did not notice this pro until I bought the one from brand A which is much more noticeable compare to this one. I did not even notice this could be a problem. 2. 120 Hz tested, very impressive for the price. 3. picture is good enough for the price Cons: 1. this annoyed me most, the remote is the worst I ever used. The buttons sometimes stuck in after I pressed and I need to get the buttons out almost every time I forgot to press it carefully. Moreover, I am not sure is it just my unit, the remote signal is very weak, I have to point directly at the projector to get any response ( BTW, yes, I did tear off the transparent sticker). 2. extremely hot during operation ( even for projectors ), much hotter than the one from brand A, I believe that is trick to make it quieter. Over all, I am glad that I did spend another $100 to buy a different one. The picture quality from brand A is a little bit better but definitely noticeable and it came with a real remote controller and a wider rage of positioning. The only downside I have now is that I need to use my noise canceling headphone if I want to get the full power when using it during very quite night time.

> 24 hourThe bulb went out about 1 year after purchase, which I was able to replace, also dead white and black pixels started showing. 2 years after purchase it officially broke.

> 24 hourHad it for a month so far and very pleased, far better than the dated one I replaced. Bolted right up to old universal mount. I dont use the volume on it, so cant comment on that. As far as fan noise, we dont notice it when watching movies/playing games. Only downside: mine turned on without giving option for language, took me a while to figure out how to get it back to English...that and no directions in the box is really annoying...will update later if needs be.

> 24 hourI loved this projector when we first bought it. We use it in the living room instead of a tv, but I have owned this less than a year and already there are a ton of dead pixels all over the screen. will not buy another projector from this brand again

> 24 hourThis is my second and probably last Optima projector. #1 was good, this one HD28HDR is a dud! The fan in it is super LOUD (terrible whining noise.... not normal). The image has ghosting on it as well. If this is where optima has gone with their quality, skip it. Save your money and buy something else as the warranty on a device should be longer than 12 months and the device should run longer than that too....... 1 out of 5 stars, would not recommend.

> 24 hourWe set this up in a very bright church auditorium and it was bright enough to see plainly. When we dimmed the front lights the picture was very detailed. I used powered fiber optic cables to go the 50 needed to the projector.

> 24 hourExpensive short term projector. Disappointment coming from one of the leading projector manufacturers. Came home to an electrical sound and burning smell...
