OtterBox DEFENDER for Samsung Galaxy TAB A (9.7) NO S Pen - Retail Packaging - BLACK

I am often torn between LifeProof and OtterBox. Each has its own pros and cons. LifeProof cases are considerably lighter, protects front and back, and is a bit more attractive. However, OtterBox will protect your investment from just about any normal drop. And, for us, that the most practical feature ... and the most likely way that our technology will be destroyed (as it has in the past). So, while this is a little on the heavy side, it is perfect for protecting your investment. And, thats all you really need!

the price was good! bought this for my husband and he loves it! it works great. hes super clumsy, his old one was cheap & falling apart. this sloves the issue we had with the last one.

The Otterbox Defender for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 is sturdy and rugged. Its bulky, heavy, and possibly awkward at times, but if you are looking for defense against drops, dirt, and other heavy usage issues, then this is the one. Like most other Otterbox products, you can trust that your device is going to be protected. The feel of the case is nice, and not a cheap plastic feeling. It has a textured feel around it and is easy to hold. Its heavier and thicker, but that is to be expected. All the necessary openings for buttons, cameras, etc are there and aligned perfectly. I find the kickstand portion of it to be a bit awkward, but if that is something that you are looking for, then it works very well. Overall, for those looking for a rugged case, this is the one. Itll get the job done.

Overall it is a good case except some features that I feel take away from the utility of the tablet it was meant to protect. 1. The screen protector is pointless and hinders the touch response as well as the fit if you have a screen protector already on it (the protector is a plastic sheet). 2. The part that covers the home button will prevent any dust and water from entering through that area except in my case, it did not lay flush with the screen. 3. The case will make your tablet super heavy
