> 3 dayThey are a little tricky at first to remove. You actually slide the pull out portion down a bit then pull out to help grab so that you can remove the entire cover from the outlet. I give it 4 stars because of lack of clear instructions on the box.

Greater than one weekThese outlet plugs work as expected. The little handles do help the removal process, but they are still fairly hard to pull out when needed - but I guess the point is to keep kids from pulling them out! They are easier to remove than the old style you had to pry out with your fingernails.

> 3 dayIf you want outlet covers that are nearly impossible for anyone, adult or child, to remove then these are for you. If you’re looking at these because they have a “convenient flip tab” to make removal easy for adults, keep looking. I have broken 3 nails trying to get the flip tabs to slide and flip.

> 3 dayThese little things are great for being child proof so that makes them a 5 star! But trying to figure out how to open them for removal with the pull tab is tricky but overall they are great!

Greater than one weekIt does its job. The pull handle is kind of hard to open to pull position even for me, so it will be hard for a toddler to get the plug removed.

> 3 dayWe have a busy 8 month old that loves to stick his fingers where they aren’t supposed to go. So we bought these. They do what they are supposed to do and they aren’t ugly like most outlet plugs. Every once in a while you’ll get one that is hard to remove but overall they are easy to insert and remove.

> 3 dayI tried using these to prevent dust and debris from the floor from getting into the power outlets on my UPS. This was a mistake. The UPSs outlets are too tight. I installed a few, and for one, the outlets were too close, so they overlapped. Then, I could not simply remove them by hand. I pulled hard enough that I tore the handle off the plastic plug. I then had to use a screwdriver to pry the cover out of the socket (which did not seem safe at all), which removed the cover, but one of the plugs prongs snapped off inside the UPS. I had to then use pliers to pull out the broken prong, which fortunately snapped off where I could pry it. I was able to remove the others by hand, and I mean, they did work fine in the house outlets, in that I could remove them, but the UPSs outlets grip too tightly. When I did remove them, I could tell that the metal inside the socket had dug into the plastic cover, which was why they were impossible to easily remove. I ended up just covering the outlets in clear plastic moving tape.

Me myself and I
06-06-2025These are the best baby outlet covers Ive used. They have a bottom part that you have to slide down, then pull out. Sliding it down is quite difficult - I can barely do it, so I doubt a baby/toddler would be able to (although some of those little buggers can do things adults cant, for sure!) What I really like about these, over the other ones Ive used, is that you can leave the bottom part open (down), thus making it easier for ME to open while still covering the outlet. So it takes away the curiosity of the child to stick their fingers in the outlet, but I can remove it without breaking my (sadly brittle and/or nonexistent) nails. This gives me the very convenient option of making the outlets I never use completely impossible to access, while leaving the ones I often use covered but possible to open. For this reason, these are now my absolute favorite outlet covers ever. The quality is good and they seem durable as well. They also arrived more quickly than I had expected, which was nice.

> 3 dayThey worked great. Some outlets you could still pull them straight out, without having to pull the flap up. But most of them worked great.
