> 3 dayI was so excited about scanning my old photos. Loved the idea of the photo feeder. Within 30 to 40 scans I was getting a 1 dark band and white lines in the middle of the pictures. Not all, just some, but enought to put it back in the box and return it to the store. Best Buy, Bed Bath and Beyond, Staples, Frys, and Target no longer carry the unit. Staples claimed it was a holiday item. Was it because of all of the complaints? I really like the unit, hated the quality. Mine was the white Model O5 which appears to be their most current product.

> 3 dayI was so happy to find this item and have used it to create several CDs of family pictures. I have scanned with the sleeve and find there are white lines in each pictures - I have been very careful to continue to keep sleeve and picture cleaned. After doing all the maintenance work again, cleaning, calibrating, etc, I inspected the sleeve very carefully and find there are actually lines in the sleeve too. Probably from dust - microscopic as I was very careful. The quality is ok, the family liked the CDs, but they did remark about the white lines. Sad, a lot of work involved in scanning several hundred pictures to have the white lines show up. Very quick - yes Fun - yes Even semi professional - no If any one finds a fix for this problem I would love to hear it. The product is inexpensive - guess that is what we get. Thanks, Alpha

> 3 dayI purchased even with the mixed reviews hoping it would work for me. I am trying to scan photos from the last 13yrs that are in photo albums. I scanned about 200 pictures and every one of them had a line or lines through them. I cleaned the machine and calibrated the machine per instructions and still had the same problem. Sent it back and going to keep researching machines.

> 3 dayI owned a flatbed scanner that had a photo feeder attachment and it did the same thing. When I talked to HP they sent me two whole new feeders over a 6 month period of time. They said that the problem was that ANY spec of dust that gets on the photo or in the feeder will leave a scratch mark all the way down the length of the photo. They did not have a fix for this. Since I dont work in a 100,000 clean room, this technology is not for me. I gave this one a shot and it did the exact same thing. I cant believe that they put a product like this on the market knowing all to well that it is a flawed bit of technology. It is criminal in my opinion.

> 3 dayThese work great until you get a smudge... then youll have to throw it away. You get them cheap online because they were discontinued as high defective rate I suppose.

> 3 dayI loved this when I first got it. I love the speed. However, as other reviewers have stated there are frequent white lines. My biggest complaint is I used it heavily the first 2 weeks I got it. Then it sat for several months and when I went to use it it wouldnt even turn on. Since the warranty is only 90 days its not covered by warranty. Regardless though, when I emailed the manufacture they couldnt even respond to my email. Poor product from a company with even poorer customer service. Save your money and dont buy.

> 3 dayWeve already scanned in a few photos and have been pleased with the result. Ive read reviews of this product on other sites and those would suggest that the reviewer was either impatient or expected too much. This is an inexpensive scanner and it does well for the money. If you want very high quality then be prepared to spend a lot more. I have no complaints.
