Penaten Baby Cream Crème Large, 5.1-Ounce

Im from Europe, but Ive lived in the US my entire adult life. My European family has been using Penaten for (at least) 3 generations. None of us ever go anywhere without a small container of Penaten. When I moved here (decades ago), I brought Penaten with me. Back then you couldnt find it in the US, so I would always stock up when I returned from Europe. Im so glad its readily available now, and Ive introduced my American family and a fourth generation to this wonderful cream. We use it for anything that affects the skin: diaper rash protection, adult rashes, minor cuts, dryness. Sometimes when my hands get really dry in winter I cover them with Penaten overnight and I wake up with soft healed hands in the morning (in really bad cases it takes a few overnight applications). I also wear it overnight on the dry skin under my nose when I have a cold to prevent a rash and heal the skin. Its thick and white and sticky, but that doesnt deter us at all. It washes out of clothing if you accidentally stain something.The result is all that matters, and it works better than any other ointment Ive tried, including heavy-duty prescription diaper rash ointment for babies.

If youve read some of my other reviews on skin care products youll know my daughter struggled with eczema and is now dealing with red skin syndrome/topical steroid withdrawal (for more info, see the ITSAN website). As a result, her skin often splits in the back of the knees, the elbow crooks, and on her neck. Penaten is the best cream we have found to protect those areas: 1. The cream is thick, so it can be put on as heavily and wide as you need (applying it can actually be a bit painful if the skin is very sensitive, but what are you going to do?), also, it is white and will be very noticeable 2. The cream is slow to absorb or wear off, so it provides many hours of protection even under clothing - long enough for the school day and even beyond 3. Its soothing and even a little moisturizing (though for serious moisturizing, look for unrefined shea butter) So if youre looking for something to protect your damaged skin, I can think of nothing better.

I got my product all melted all over the bag. Disappointed on that.

Miracle cream for my English Bulldog s folds. I tried so many different cleansers and ointments (most bought on Amazon) to clear her muzzle, but they mostly left her skin more irritated. I would whole heartedly recommend this product for relieving/clearing any infection/redness within your pets jowel/folds. --It also incidentally cured/relieved her chapped nose! My only regret is that I wish I would have found this product sooner! Several weeks later, her folds are still clear, her nose is moist and she is totally pain free! This cream is absolutely Wunderbar!

This is the BEST diaper rash/skin irritation cream. PERIOD. My former German Mother-in-law recommended for my baby, 25 years ago, and I just bought this for my grandson-to-be!

Love the cream and it’s healing effects on minor irritations or even a bug bites.. used the cream during my early childhood days in Germany.
