> 24 hourCaveat Emptor.... This is going to be a great solution for 98% of backpackers out there, however, its not something that fits into my system of ultra light backpacking and may not for you as well... For what this is its just too heavy (almost 5oz or 136 grams on my scale- quite a bit more than advertised on Amazon). For another 3.0 ounces I can carry a pop-up lantern that is much brighter than this thing and I can still use my headlamp to do other chores/activities around camp. Its just not worth the weight for me and if I want to carry the extra weight I will go with the superior piece of gear. Some positive are the way this thing difuses light and maybe tha tit works as a protective case for your headlamp in your pack. However, if youre worried about accidentally turning the lamp on while in your pack there are far lighter (and cheap solutions) to that problem. I would classify this as a luxury item and not something I would be carrying on a hunting, thru-hike, or when I am looking to bang out a ton of miles. Ill take the extra ounces in tape or snacks before I would carry this around. I am not going to return as I may have some uses or as a piece of ancillary gear but I am am disappointed in just how heavy it is. Good idea but I think its just a bit too heavy for ultra light backbackers.

> 24 hourWell designed and rugged enough for both itself and the headlamp I put inside. Looking forward to use it outdoors soon. The zipper pull’s constant clinging is somewhat bothersome, though. Planning to replace it with a paracord pull or something. Update: Nov 16, 2019 just found spare time to replace the zipper pull

> 24 hourI bought this to protect my 350 lumen head lamp and to replace my mini-lantern. The case did the trick in both cases. The quality is sturdy and the zipper looks tough enough to use over and over as needed. The case has a marked on and off switch on the lens that fits perfecting with the on and off switch of my Petzl tactical headlamp. I use it everyday when I walk my dog at night. I take the headlamp out and use it and then put it back in the case when done. If I need a light to find the leash I just grab the case and switch on the headlamp and find the leash easy enough in the dark. I plan on buying a case for each of our headlamps in the house. I will be carrying the case with me during Hurricane Dorian as I live in the east coast and evacuations have started.

> 24 hourArrived on time in good condition. My Petzl headlamp fits inside, and I can switch the headlamp off and on from outside the lantern case no problem. When I go camping in a few weeks, well see how well it works as a lantern !

> 24 hourGreat design and concept. Provides storage for your headlamp and provides a handy tent light. When you use your headlamp as a tent light, sometimes its hard to prevent getting the direct beam of light from hitting your eyes. This little thing disperses the light and brightens the space uniformly. Highly recommend.

> 24 hourThe Black Diamond headlamp fits nicely in this lantern case. I hung it from the top of my tent and was very pleased with both the white and red-light illumination. It is really beneficial if more than one person in your tent that needs light vs wearing a headlamp or propping a headlamp on your bag.

> 24 hourMostly bought it to store my Taktic 450 and for use as a lantern. It exceeded my expectations. Its actually really bright and lightweight. My kids love using it too. I like the strap it cam with. Proved it in caving. Didnt let me down and kept my light clean from mud.
