> 24 hourThis is a very cool idea. Thought it might be a gimmick when I first saw it. But I was wrong. This is not some ultra light hiker accessory, but its much lighter than the small lanterns I usually throw in my pack.

> 24 hourMostly bought it to store my Taktic 450 and for use as a lantern. It exceeded my expectations. Its actually really bright and lightweight. My kids love using it too. I like the strap it cam with. Proved it in caving. Didnt let me down and kept my light clean from mud.

> 24 hourI love my petzl headlamp, especially with the rechargeable core battery system. Just unzip this little guy and put your headlamp in and your are in area light business. Simple and ingenious! I have gone through several LED globes that eat AAA batteries in no time. Disposable junk compared to this system. I highly recommend to any hikers / campers that already own Petzls.

> 24 hourI bought this for use in my tent in order to turn my headlamp into a lantern. What I did not expect was that, when my headlamp was packed in this housing, it could not be accidentally turned on by in my pack.

> 24 hourVery versatile and extremely handy. Bought it for camping, and ended up using it the first time when the power went out during a thunderstorm. The next day was using it while working on my jeep. It diffuses the light from the headlamp very well. Giving an area more diffused light than the headlamp by itself. Using an opaque/frosted dome, to diffuse the light. Clever design. Well made. Expect years of issue-free use.

> 24 hourHangs from the tent ceiling and lights the entire space, unlike the spotlight effect from just the headlight alone.

> 24 hourLove how well it works with the Petzl headlamp and how the power switch can be easily depressed even once in the case. Love the cord and how it wraps up out of the way, and also the clip and zipper

> 24 hourThis is my second Noctilight. Replaced my small lantern with this for camping/hiking. Awesome lighting option if you are trying to save weight but you still want lantern level performance.

> 24 hourWe brought the Petzl Noctilight while hiking the Northville-Placid Trail. This conspicuous, lightweight lantern illuminated the darkest campsites and could be adjusted to hang inside our tent as we previewed our guidebook for the next day. The lantern threw plenty of light and could easily be adjusted using the controls on our headlamps without removing them from the lantern. We still use it at home on our screened-in porch!
