Greater than one weekHigh price point for just white. We gave ours away as we did not care for it. Beware of usage with dimmers! We plugged this into our dimming chandelier and it went crazy when we dim via the switch. Using the Hue app is fine with on/off. Turning lights on/off from the wall caused the light to go crazy. Connect this into a standard lamp without a dimmer and there is no issue. The tech is good, but the price is high, especially if you potentially need a lot of these. For reference we have 40+ hue lights in the home.

> 3 dayI needed some dim lights for our new baby’s nursery, to help keep her sleepy during nighttime diaper changes. We have a lamp that is not dimmable and has a single candelabra bulb. Thanks to this light, I can now make it super dim at night or nice and bright on gray days when there isn’t quite enough sunlight. You need an existing bridge to utilize the Hue features of this bulb. Setting up the light to work with our existing Philips Hue bridge was quick and easy. The bulb itself was a bit larger than the candelabra bulb we were replacing, which made it kind of hard to get into the lamp. I made it work, though. Just something to note in case you don’t have a lot of space where you want to use this bulb.

> 3 dayThese have a cover that make them bigger than a standard candelabra bulb so they stick out the top of a mini lampshade.

> 3 daySpecifically, this bulb is larger than a standard bulb of this type. Other than that, it does what it says. More generally, It seems like Philips doesnt plan to make the Hue line fully usable. I have a bunch of these bulbs in my basement office to create a sunlight atmosphere during the day and more mellow at night. I set them up with routines at sunrise and sunset. However, if they are not switched on, the routine doesnt run. There is no, as far as I can tell, switch that would offer a trickle of power to the lights so they can receive command but not be switched on. On the whole, this systems only seems half finished and theres been no real progress in years. I had expected that Philips would keep improving the reliability and features of the system, but they seem to be just sitting tight.

Greater than one weekI am gradually replacing bulbs in my house with smart Hue bulbs. i purchased these for a ceiling fan fixture. The bulbs stick out a bit more than I like from under the glass shades, but I dont mind the compromise. Worth the cost for me.
