> 3 dayLet me preface this by saying that I love all of Hue’s products. They make high quality bulbs, offer amazing support, and frequently update their products with new features and functionality. They’re in it for the long haul, and it shows. They’re dedication to this technology is unprecedented, and because of this I have dozens of bulbs of theirs throughout my house. I was happy to see that they released candelabra versions of their bulbs to put in a few fixtures I had. As other reviewers have pointed out, it’s a little bit bigger than standard sized candle bulbs. It wasn’t a big deal for me since it fit my lamps well, but I could see it being a problem for others. Aside from that, these are way too expensive to be practical for any household. These were $30 a pop, and many fixtures that use candle bulbs use 6+. I’m a big Hue apologist, but these are a little too rich for my blood. The sweet spot would’ve been $15-$20 in my opinion. However, if you can afford it, you can’t beat these bulbs.

> 3 dayThese are great, with one caveat. The price. Ridiculous. Currently, Philips makes the only smart e12 smart bulb that I could find after searching high and low. Unfortunately many of the lights in my home take this style of bulb. It will be cheaper to replace the light fixtures than add these bulbs to come of them. Totally taking advantage of the market right now. In two years these bulbs will be $5. That said, I did buy one. And it works beautifully. Update 1-2-18 found e12 bulbs today at ikea for $6.99 and they work great. Got 4 for the price of one of these. Get it ogether Phillips!

> 3 dayI am gradually replacing bulbs in my house with smart Hue bulbs. i purchased these for a ceiling fan fixture. The bulbs stick out a bit more than I like from under the glass shades, but I dont mind the compromise. Worth the cost for me.

> 3 dayPhilips support in India is absolutely horrible. Bought a bulb in May of 2019. Started flickering this week. Called support whom connected me to someone very nice in India reading their script. What a nightmare! They wanted every single tiny number from the bulb, gave me the 3rd degree regarding where I was using it, asking if I was sure I wasnt using it outside. They opened a ticket, wanted a picture of the bulb, wanted a picture of the fixture, then wanted a photo of the invoice from Amazon. This process took 45 minutes. Then they put me on hold. Guess what happened next? We got disconnected and I had no number or name to reference when calling back!!! I spent $30 + tax on a light bulb. If this happens to you, dont call. Get creative with the broken one and a big box store purchase/return

> 3 dayI bought a couple of these a month ago specifically for outdoor use. They performed so flawlessly in Baltimores winter weather that I bought two more for outdoor use.

> 3 dayShipped to Japan in a timely fashion, kudos to the vendor! Setup was easy using the Hue bridge and Apple Homekit for configuration. My only con is that it is not very bright, even at full setting. I had to purchase LIFX strips to add more light to my pantry. Its a nice niche product that Im sure will please depending on where you install it.

> 3 dayI LOVE Hue products. Love. Obsessed. So I say this for all the Hue lovers like me... Wait. Wait until they perfect it. If you have a dimmer switch, they will flash off and on like youre at a rave- or like your annoying tiny child (or husband/wife) is flipping it off and on to wake you up on Christmas morning (or anniversary). It absolutely could be my own dimmer switch, or the wiring in my unit, but I had two electricians come out to try and fix it . So, from one Hue fan to another— if you have a dimmer switch, wait for the next generation. If you dont have a dimmer switch, go nuts!
