Photomatix Pro 6

Tried Photomatrix Pro thinking that I would get some unique results. However, with all the motions that one has to go through to create an image, (three or more exprosures at different settings), I found that it wasnt worth it. I have been using Topaz Labs Adjust 4 since it came out. It is alot simplier and all you need is one exposure (jpeg). It creates similar pictures at half the price. For what it is worth, Id try this before Id purchase Photomatrix Pro. Topaz Labs offers a 30 day download trial at no cost.

I love HDR photography! I used to work in a dark room back in the day and what I had to go though to burn in the sky, lighten the dark spots, get even tones took hours sometimes. Using Photomatix is easy to install and even easier to run. You get beautiful even shots or if over the top is your thing that is available too. I have not found any negatives regarding this software.

The software is exactly as described and allows you to create stunning photos with minimal time. Ive very new to HDR and photography in general - I found a few examples of how to do this online...

Photomatix pro is a terrific application for combining bracketed exposure photos into true HDR images, using tone mapping and detail enhancement. The program comes with a good vocabulary of basic presets, all of them customizable, and as you grow into it, you can start to develop your own effects and presets as well. Photomatix pro is easy to use out of the box, both as a standalone application, or as a plug-in for use with Adobe Photoshop. You cant go wrong with this one!

This is a brilliant piece of kit. So easy to install alongside Photoshop and Lightroom and so easy to use. I have read so much on the internet about different hdr products and this one seemed to be the best. I cant imagine being without it now. Just load your three exposure shots and let the software do its thing, the results are stunning and, if you dont like what you see, its so easy to tweak the colours and saturation etc. Plus, there are lots and lots of presets you can play around with.

Still learning, but so far so good.

Still the best in its field! Gets as complex as you want it to. Just keeps getting better and easier.
