I found this product very easy to use and quite effective. I like its ability to remove ghost images cleanly and to allow further extensive editing. I would recommend this product to both the professional and amateur user.

Ive tried various methods of producing HDR images and thus far Ive been most successful with Photomatix Pro 4, using in conjunction with Adobe Lightroom 4 and Photoshop CS5. After installation of Photomatix Pro 4, I went to the HDRsoft website and downloaded updates to the program and the 32 bit HDR merge plug-in. I have not been impressed with my results using the plug-in. It could be that I have not yet mastered the adjustments in this plug-in to render satisfactory results. I am going for a realistic blending of my bracketed exposures and not the surrealistic results that seem to be so popular today. I have been able to achieve satisfactory results using Photomatix Pro 4 as a standalone program and then tweaking my resultant image in Photoshop. I am very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend Photomatix Pro 4 to anyone interested in producing high quality HDR images. BTW, you can get some interesting surrealistic results if thats what you desire. Warning: There is a bit of a learning curve with this software, but there are a lot of helpful tutorials on the web to help you along.

I am no expert, but if you want to do HDR I cannot imagine any better software to get than this.

Being somewhat stingy with my money, due to not having much of it sometimes, I was reluctant to purchase Photomatix. I already had Photoshop CS4 on my Mac, which was given to me by a friend when he upgraded to a new computer. After trying a number of free programs as well as experimenting for many hours in Photoshop with lousy results, I decided to try Photomatix.

If youre serious about photographic imaging, then you owe yourself the pleasure of at least running the trial of this software. While there are other choices, including Photoshop itself, nothing beats the ease of use and quality of output offered by PhotoMatix. If you make a living with a camera and are capable of bracketed raw frames, you have absolutely nothing to think about. Adding HDR Imaging to your menu of services (great for natural light, flashless indoor shoots) will no doubt add to your income ability.

My ability to successfully do HDR processing was limited. I can only afford Photoshop CS2, and it isnt really great for HDR. It doesnt want to work in a psuedo-HDR mode unless its forced, and even then, it isnt as good as Photomatix. The tone mapping in Photomatix is really helpful in much of my processing. I havent gotten a great deal of experience with it yet, so I cant give it a five star rating........but I bet its that good.

Very poor software. Probably get better off a free one. Doesnt do anything like what its meant to. I wish I paid that little bit extra for a better software. This one wasnt cheap
