> 3 dayTwice the price for half the crap. I hadnt played a pokemon game since White, and while that game had lost a bit of the whimsy that drew me to the series to begin with, these two just feel like Im taking a long walk through foodstand parking lot, but the only thing theyre serving is milk porridge, without a spoon. I liked the pokemonamee, but how does the camping mechanic feel like a step back from that, and the lack of incentive for your character to have a rival, but forced to hear how that is the main reason to do almost anything gym related is just tedious. I could go on for ages about the downs for the game and rate it a 1, but the only reason I gave it a 2 was because some of the new pokemon I genuinely like, and feel that they should have a chance, however dismal this game has it.

> 3 dayI cant give this game a good review as it does not let you transfer all Pokémon to the game. Got to catchem all is not possible. Not thrilled that we cant farm berries either. Some other issues as well. This is a Switch game and not a 3DS game so it should have been better. I give it two stars in hopes they dont make these mistakes again.

> 3 dayIt seems like Nintendo cant quite pick up on what fans want. It gives us good things, like a beautiful new region to explore, and overworld Pokemon encounters, but then it gives us bad things like a smaller pokedex and tedious boring game mechanics. I absolutely love the new Galar region, and exploring it was a blast. However, it was far too small. Each area felt about 1/3 the size of what it ought to have been. Heck, I beat the game in like 14 hours, whereas other Pokemon games usually take at least 20. There were also some really neat and interesting new Pokemon, BUT they were ruined by exclusivity and bad typing. What I mean is, the new gigantimax special Pokemon are exclusive to rare raids, and arent even a guaranteed capture. Not to mention some of the new Pokemon have awful typing. For instance, Grapploct, a grappling octopus, is pure fighting. There are already dozens of pure fighting Pokemon. There is no reason why Grapploct shouldnt be part water. There are hardly any water/fighting Pokemon. Its things like this that really make me wonder what is going through the developers heads. In addition, the new dynamax feature just feels like a lazy version of mega evolution. Nobody asked for it, and it just makes battles take longer. They should have just added more mega evolutions instead of adding this new silly battle mechanic. All in all, the game isnt really BAD despite my ranting. It is a solid Pokemon game, with excellent music, fun characters, and a gorgeous reason to explore. Its just REALLY too bad that the developers cant seem to get new things right without screwing others aspects of the game up.

> 3 dayGame so far is great! However, redeeming the preorder bonus code was a hassle. Additionally the directions provided for redeeming the preorder bonus was misleading. The instructions mentioned to redeem the code through the Nintendo EShop however doing so prompted an error code that the code was not recognized. The correct way to redeem the code is through the in game menu by entering the code through Mystery Gift.
