This is honestly just kind of lazy in design. With few exceptions, if youve played Pokemon Sun and Moon, youve played this one. Some people have different pokemon and they change a few locations marginally, added a mini-game, but the only real improvement is that there are far more pokemon available to catch. The story is changed very little, but what few changes there are ruins the story. The only worthwhile content comes in the endgame when some old faces from previous games return, and it is over way too fast. Im glad it didnt cost as much as Pokemon Sun and Moon, but honestly this should have been $30 tops at release for how copy and paste the game is. Only hardcore collectors or people that skipped the previous games should buy this, Im regretting my own purchase.

The game play is really fun but a lot of my friends ( myself included ) that this could have easily been a DLC to buy rather than its own game.

AHHHH AMAZING SUCH A GOOD GAME *Ahem* Im sorry, ive loved all the Pokemon games since Blue, and every generation produces something to love and more Pokemon to create teams and strategies with, Ultra Moon is no different So far, my favorite part because Im not very far, is the mantine surfing. I absolutely love doing the surfing

Okay, so let me start by saying that if you own Pokemon Sun/Moon, then Ultra Sun/Moon doesnt have much more to offer. There are a few changes that does help a lot, and that includes seeing Pokemon out in the wild just living their peaceful lives while you go about your adventure. The changes in the story make things feel a bit fresher, and the post game story feels a bit simple, but its quite fun going through the Rainbow Rockets, whom are actually pretty tough, and quite funny to read their dialogues. Giovanni is a true badass though, but sadly that story is left inconclusive. There are other additions like buildings that were under construction in Sun/Moon, are now Picture Clubs or Surf Shacks in Ultra Sun.Moon. The Mantine surfing is also fun, to a certain degree, though it is hard to unlock new moves for higher scores. Overall, I do not like the game, but I do not dislike it either. I would, however, recommend it to someone that has not played the original Sun/Moon games, or to someone that really loves the franchise.

Wonderful game, different story and play style than the previous generations. Instead of gyms, you have to do special challenges. HMs dont exist in the game, but are instead swapped out as a TM that are unlimited usage. I love the fact that the game fighting style has changed too much and that z moves were introduced which are Pokemon based oriented. Overall, I highly recommend this game and do not want to give away too many spoilers!

Don’t listen to the people saying it’s just a remake of the previous Sun/Moon games, because while it is—it is also much, MUCH, better. From the update UI designs to the added storyline progression, everything culminates in one great Pokémon game/3DS game in general!

Didnt know this was just a re-hash of the most recent games when I got it. The extra content is basically just like a DLC pack. I just bought it without checking anything so thats definitely on me. Still, isnt it a bit soon for a remake? Its still my favorite in the series so far, so I wont mind playing it, but Im not looking forward to it as much as I would if it were a true sequel.

Another average pokemon title. Has great stuff, but lots of neglected areas. About what you expect from gamefreak, middling quality over all. Probably 3 stars if you arent already a pokemon fan

First of all, THIS IS NOT A SEQUEL! This is an Omega Ruby/ Alpha Sapphire type deal, where its remade but better. I bought this thinking it was a sequel or a successor, akin to Black and White 1 and 2. I am disappointed that the game is essentially Sun and Moon but with some modifications and additions. However, I the game is pretty good and does improve a fair amount from the originals. It still has pokemon, they still need to be caught, and you still need to farm the heck out of those SOS battles to get pokemon with perfect IVs. You only need one adrenaline orb now, so thats nice. Oh, and the lag from totem battles are gone, which is lovely.

I originally bought ultra sun version loved it so much so I bought the exclusive ultra moon and equally love it. It came quick and it was brand new sealed.
