> 3 dayIts a very good game, but so far it seems very, very similar to Sun and Moon with little to no changes. Thats really my only complaint so far, but Im sure thatll change the later on in the game you get.

Greater than one weekIt makes my brain hurt a bit. Re.ember when pokemon was just about catching them and getting the 8 gym badges and beating the elite 4? Well they turned that on its head with this one. Pros: the game is beautiful, animations are great. Con: they majorly dumbed it down. And the super modes make my brain hurt... as a longtime player (from Yellow to this) I have to say, even the parts that are supposed to be serious seem lame. If youre over the age of 12. Be ready for some brain hurts. Good game overall. But the appeal for older players has been stretched... hard.

Greater than one weekThe game was very close to the regular sun and moon. The big difference was all the legendarys you can get. The only problem I found with all the legendarys, was the annoying minigame you would have to play over and over for only a slim chance of finding one of the legendarys at random. Because of that, I was borderline gonna give this game a 3 star. I am a pokemon lover, so I still enjoyed playing the game again and experience the post-game episode which was very fun in my opinion.

Greater than one weekI beat sun and got this later when it came out. However I never beat this version for some reason. It actually got boring repeating so many of the same story elements over again so soon.

> 3 dayThis game is really wonderful, especially if you want to be able to go back and catch legendaries from your childhood. If youve ever vacationed in Hawaii or would like to then this will also tickle that fancy Some of the battles can be really challenging if you havent worked out the sub-types but there are plenty of guides to help you skate by without a sweat (if youre into that kinda thing ;) lol )

> 3 dayI couldnt get very far. This game was advertised as something pretty different from the original Sun/Moon, and so I wanted to give it a shot. But dang... this thing could not keep my attention. The first few hours, at least, are practically identical to the original. Same thing where it holds your hand and makes you sit through a million cutscenes when all you want to do is run around and catch some monsters. I may not be giving this a fair shot, but I dont have time to entertain a game this slow, that feels like Ive already played it before. If you havent played the original Sun/Moon, Im sure this is great. If you did, though... I cant recommend it.

> 3 dayThis is honestly one of my least favorite pokemon games and there are many reasons why. This game is an addition to moon and sun its not a sequel like it looked like it would be. Many of the things I did not enjoy from the first game is still there; like the slow story, the training wheels being there the entire game, long pointless cut-scenes that dont help the story progress, etc. Even with some additions its pointless like the ultra recon characters they added honestly nothing good to the game. There were no major changes in this game and to begin with pokemon moon and sun for me personally was hard to finish. This game feels like a cheap dlc that was rushed. Im just sad because I love the pokemon franchise and have played every game and every spin-off this game just didnt feel good to me.

> 3 dayIt was a good game. I played Moon when it first came out, I figured might as well get Ulta Moon too. I feel like this is everything Game Freak/Nintendo wanted to do with the original Sun and Moon games, but they just ran out of time. Overall the story is pretty similar to the original Moon with the exception of adding in the Ultra Recon Squad or whatever it was called. Anyways, they revamped some tracks and enhanced some graphics which made the game feel a lot more polished. Uh basically if you wanna buy this Id recommend it. Its a pretty fun game. Theyve also upped some of the difficulty thankfully, so theres a lot more challenge compared to Moon (to me at least, but maybe not to everyone.) Ive been playing Pokemon games for like 14 years and this ones in my top 5 for now.

> 3 dayUpdated: So my original Review was very pointed. I am not a huge fan of Pokemon Ultra Moon/Sun, but I given it more consideration. So I am pretty excited by every perspective pokemon game. I have been playing them for years (every-game sequentially since I played silver when I was four), and have followed every game from leaks to game reviews; this has been a staple form of entertainment in my life. So when I heard of Pokemon UltraMoon, you best believe i was excited. I love sequel games. Playing emerald was a real highlight for me growing up. As such, you would imagine, based on reviews, I would love this game. Sadly, I DO NOT. Do get me wrong, the game is ok. It is playable and pretty. The 3d Graphics are cool and a great step in the right direction for nintendo. The play through was relatively easy. The game is definitely solid. The problem is that it is not any more than that. The Pokemon Franchise is special, but, sadly, THIS GAME IS NOT SPECIAL. How Nintendo made an un-special pokemon game, I have no idea. WHAT ABOUT THE GAME WAS UN-SPECIAL? 1. This game feels more like a rushed gimmick. ITS NOT A SEQUEL to the Alola Region, BUT a cheap remake for fans to get a quick dose of Pokemon. The new features, arcs, and story developments are definitely there, but the game feels rushed and doesnt have the Pokemon flare we know and love. 2. The game is touted and marketed by game freak as a MAJOR expansion to the Alola Universe. IT IS NOT. THIS WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING. Sometimes Hype doesnt live up... 3. With games like Zelda, Mario, Animal Crossing, Xenoblade Chronicles, all innovating, I am VERY SURPRISED how underdeveloped this sequel is. ***Whether you are Nintendo reading this or a causal fan just now that this game is neither bad nor good. It will be a way to spend time. Probably not good time. Definitely not bad time. But, thats it. If this game was trying to get me excited for next generation you did it.
