Having an issue with a POLK product I purchased and they torture you to diagnose the problem when I already know the issue - will never buy another POLK product ever - back to BOSE for me

The greatest speakers with great sound, bass is there, couple with Polks surround ceiling speakers and you have a full blown theater system. You will not regret these speakers. I have owned Polk speakers since the 70s.

Top of the line speakers. Bought these for front left and rights. Port works well. Super easy install and clean finish.

In wall speakers work perfectly for a none audiophile. Speakers installed on a stone wall and look great.

The speakers come with the template needed for the perfect size hole and easy layout for your room. The grills are very low profile, attach via magnets, and the grill mesh is very fine with a high-end look. The speakers went in easily and secured to the wall firmly. I used these for my fronts in a 5.1.2 system, matched with the Polk 255crt (center), 65rt (rears), 70rt (ceiling presence) for an ATMOS system. After calibrating my levels I am blown away with the sound! These produce phenomenal clarity in both instruments and voice. The transition from one speaker to the next is perfect, being timbre matched. I couldn’t be happier with the results and I highly recommend these for anyone looking at installing a clean in-wall system.

Awesome speakers. Sound amazing. Perfect for my home theater. Tweeters rotate so you can aim them directly at you. These are fairly large in-wall speakers, so the only concern is 10 years down the road if I decide to upgrade my system Ill have to find even larger speakers to fill the hole.

Love these, look great and pretty easy to install. Sound great as our front speakers and take up zero space.

I am a sucker for Amazon reviews. When I saw 43 other people give this speaker 4.8 stars, I thought I couldnt go wrong. However, this is one of the rare times I disagree with other reviewers. In short, these speakers lack bass. Everyone has a different sound preference, but I like a full, deep sound, and surprisingly for the cost, this speaker doesnt cut it. True, you could add a subwoofer, but I made my decision to return these speakers based on their sound alone. I also tested these speakers with a variety of music as opposed to movies and TV. I recently bought a house and wired my own speakers. Outside by my deck, I have Polk Atrium 6 and I love them. They have a full deep sound. Upstairs, I got a lesser known brand - Theater Solutions TSS8W in-wall speakers. I really recommend these speakers for the value and they again have a nice deep sound. I was looking for an even higher quality speaker for my basement next to my TV. I already purchased Theater Solutions TSS8C in-ceiling speakers for surround sound in the basement. I have had my eye on the Polk 265RT for quite some time, and like other Polk speakers on Amazon, the price fluctuates greatly. They were priced at $300 each for a long time, and all of the sudden they dropped to $175 each, so I bought two. My hope was theyd sound better than the TSS8W given they cost much more and are 3-way, but it didnt work out and Im glad I didnt cut holes in my wall. Eventually I will get a subwoofer downstairs too, but for now my search continues for my really good in-wall speakers for my basement. If anyone recommends a set of deep bass in-wall speakers, please let me know in the comments section. I was thinking about getting the TSS8W (8 inch, 2-way, about $100 for the pair) for my basement too, but Id like to find something that will really rock the house, and I dont mind paying a few hundred dollars or so for something really good. Of all the speakers I mentioned, I think the Polk Atrium 6 have the best sound. That said, Im looking for speakers that sound as good as the Polk Atrium 6, but have a low profile look like most in-wall speakers. UPDATE: Some people commented that once installed in a wall, I would get more bass. I fully agree. However, I made similar comparisons with the TSS8W and TSS8C, testing the sound before I committed to cutting a hole in the wall / ceiling. These other in-wall speakers sounded much better than the 265RT - all prior to wall installation and all using the same receiver. Once you cut that hole, youre committed to that speaker, and I wasnt willing to do that based on the subpar sound I heard during the test. Furthermore, other reviewers also claimed the 265RT lacks bass even after installed in their wall, even though they still gave it 5 stars. Once more, Im judging these speakers WITHOUT a subwoofer. Its my personal preference, but speakers that lack bass are not for me. Im not anti-Polk, and again, the Polk Atrium 6 are the best speakers Ive dealt with, with very full bass. That said, in my opinion, I dont recommend the Polk 265RT.
