> 3 dayWe bought this projector for our college age daughter for her birthday. She invited friends over to play video games and everyone had a blast. Really portable and easy to take on trips. I call BS on the 9000L. There is just no way that this projector provides that level of brightness, but it is still sharp and a lot of fun. It is just too easy to snap this up at this price point. I highly recommend.

> 3 dayThis projector is pretty decent for the price. The image is okay and the fan is not loud at all. Pretty good bang for a buck!

Greater than one weekIt’s a projector that is cheap. Our family can watch movies outside and it’s crazy easy to set up. I’m not looking or asking for HD here and if you are then your in the price point but if you are fine with SD quality then your in the right place. I was VERY happy with the speaker on this too. We have four small kids and could easily hear over all the constant chatter.

> 3 dayI have no idea about the negative reviews!?! This projector is amazing. Let me begin by saying that for the price point, you must put things in perspective. If you want a high quality screen, then spend the $ to buy a high quality screen. Don’t complain because a $100 product wasn’t $1000 quality. This product is well worth the $ considering it’s versatility and reliability. Zero probs w it thus far after using 6 times for hours at a time. I wanted to watch sports/movies on my patio at night so I thought I might be able to hook this up and get a few options. Wow…was I amazed! The box included everything needed to get this unit up and running. Power cable, hdmi cable, lens cap, cloth & cotton swabs for cleaning, quick start guide & user manual, remote control (no batteries included), tripod and the projector itself. All were snuggly packed inside a styrofoam liner inside the reusable box. I don’t know what issues people had w the tripod as it’s easy to use. After screwing onto the projector, manually squeeze the small knob and the unit can be adjusted. The tripod is very sturdy and the legs don’t slip. No concern that the projector will fall or the tripod will fail. The unit can also be used w other tripods and even upside down so it can be attached to the ceiling. There’s a choice for diff types of viewing inching front, back or inside down. (Some people may not have room in front so they’ll project from behind the screen. Make sure to choose this option.) There are so many variations in how the unit can be attached in diff places too. Familiarize yourself w the remote buttons. There’s no exit button to go back to previous screens. Use the “back” button. When setting up, hit enter when you see all the Chinese characters flash on screen. (It’ll cycle through a bunch of languages all saying the same thing which is to hit enter to proceed.) No worries…the on screen directions will be in English but there’s options to change to other languages too. But the directions in chinese is what will come on first when set up. After hitting enter, the screen w a few options should come on. Source, iOS cast, media, etc. Once you’re here, you know it’s set up correctly and it’s just a matter of connecting thru wifi or whatever your choice. Remember you have to choose the correct input every time you turn on the unit or want to use diff options. Then proceed to choose the source (hdmi for fire stick/wifi, AV for DVD, VGA for video games) and after choosing then go to media. If using hdmi, choose wifi then scan/connect, then choose your wifi and enter the pw. (See pic) You won’t have to keep entering your wifi pw after the 1st time but you will have to connect it every time which takes 10-15 seconds at most. It’s simple and not time consuming at all. I do recommend doing this with no one around because your info will be visible on the screen to whomever is looking when inputting. Also remember to aim the remote at the projector not the screen. Even when not pointing it directly at the unit, the remote has very good range. Without a fire stick, I was still able to hook up an old DVD player & also mirror cast my phone. Very cool. After adding a fire stick & connecting to my wifi then cable provider, this projector became even cooler. I can easily watch live sports, movies, everything! I’m not tech savvy at all but it couldn’t have been easier to hook up this projector. I’d suggest ordering an amazon fire stick for $20. It’ll come w the cables needed to later hook the projector up to other things too so it’s worth it. You’ll pay $15 for the 2 cords needed to do this (if you don’t already have) so might as well get the fire stick for a few bucks more which will open many doors to viewing on the projector AND laptops, pads, etc. The projector is easy to work and has various options. The keystone correction allows perfect alignment onto the screen from diff heights. I read about people complaining about pixelation issues but what do they want? Cinema quality for $100? I thought it was a steal for $100 considering what it does. I never once found myself distracted by the pixelation which was not even bad to begin. To me, it’s just nit picking to complain about this projector unless it’s defective. Perhaps those people were sitting too close or had too high of expectations? More than likely they’re people that are never happy no matter what they pay. The option to connect to better sound is available thru a 3.5 mm jack on the side. There’s also a 3.5 mm port for headphones, TF slot & USB port. The only drawback I can find is there isn’t Bluetooth for connection to audio. Despite this, the audio that emits from the projector is surprisingly plenty loud. I didn’t have issues w the unit getting warm but I was using outside in 40° weather. If it does get warm, take an intermission for 20 min. Not really a big deal. The remote controls the unit but it also has buttons on top of it that will control it too. Both sides of the projector have speakers so it’s a very balanced sound. My only other con is that the cord that connects to the unit itself could be a tighter fit. I didn’t have any issues w it but it doesn’t stay as snug as I’d prefer. This projector works best in the dark but I’ve added a pic w the lights on at night just for comparison. It will not work outdoors in daytime. I tried! The picture on the screen will not be visible due to too much light. But at night when it’s mostly dark or with just 1 moderately distanced light on, it looks great! I’d highly recommend this Acrojoy projector to anyone. It’s made my evenings out on the patio so fun. I’ve already decided it’ll make such a wonderful gift for anyone whom likes to entertain, kids video games and for fun family movie nights that I’ll be purchasing a few next Christmas! Stop debating about whether you should buy this before it’s no longer available. DO IT! You won’t regret it!! *I’ll update after a few months of use or if I’ve any issues. I’m having trouble loading the images but will try to add again later. Update 2/22: Tonight the remote started messing up. It wouldn’t respond to the push of the buttons. It’s never been dropped or had anything happen to it as I’m the only one whom has used it so I’d know. I tried replacing the batteries but it wouldn’t fix the problem. It seems the circle of directional buttons wont respond as it should every time it’s pushed. Sometimes it does. Sometimes it doesn’t. I’m going to contact the company for a replacement remote and if not offered, I’ll just return the entire projector (still within the return window) and go w another company as a working remote is not an option. I’m sure I just got a defective unit and a new one will fix the problem. I’ll update after contact w the company.

> 3 dayI bought this for my son to use in college as with many younger people nowadays, he doesn’t have a TV. The current generation consumes their entertainment via their cell phone instead, so this works out better for him to watch events with his friends, and at the end of the school year, he won’t have to worry about lugging a huge TV back home for the summer. We tried it out during the Thanksgiving break at home before taking it back t college and he said he and his buddies really enjoy watching movies from it. Set up was easy and it was very light. Gone are the old days of huge projectors. The resolution is very good as you can see a clear projection about 6 feet out. As a parent, I definitely appreciate the good value in getting this without breaking the bank.
