GENIANI is a mini humidifier, it cannot be used with essential oils, it shows a warning on the top of the unit after you unpack it, even though the instructions state where to put oils, this particular model cannot be used with oils. I like how small it is, perfect for anyones bedside. It runs via a USB cord, the instructions mentioned you can use a 5V power adapter that did not come with it. The USB cord is pretty short it is a little less than 3 feet. Connecting this near a bedside would be easy if you have something that takes a USB cable, like a power bank or an alarm clock that has USB slots which ours does. Per the box it is USB powered it needs to be continuously plugged in. The set up is very easy. Hold the base, and turn the top part clockwise to open. If you look at the top part you can see where the long filter is, you turn that counterclockwise to remove it. The filter that is in there, needs to be soaked in water for about 1-2 minutes (first-time use), and then it can be placed back in. It is very easy to put back in. Then fill the clear bottom part with water, do not use hot water. The box states 8.45 fl oz, I would just put 8 oz of water, as there is no real water line. Then you are ready to plug it in and let it do its job. The extra moisture next to the bed will be perfect, as I wake with a very dry throat and sometimes with a headache, so I am hoping this will work out great. It does come with an extra filter, which is nice. My only issue, really, is the filter where do I get replacement filters? What happens when you can no longer find the filters, can we make our own? That is the huge downfall with any humidifiers that use filters. As wonderful as this portable humidifier is, how will it work if I no longer can find filters? I hope to never have to replace it. I checked their website that is shown on the box, and they do not carry this model on the website. However, it comes with a 1 YEAR WARRANTY. Risk-Free Purchase & Hassle-Free Replacement!

This cool mist humidifier was exactly as described and got me through the last of winter. Will be my goto when I travel next winter.

UPDATE REVIEW: Seller quickly sent a new humidifier and provided instruction for proper use. I was very impressed with their responsiveness and help. I gave the second one a go, and unfortunately it still pooled water heavily, but I found this to be only on the high setting. I now use the high setting only for shorter periods of time and the lower setting for lengthier uses. Lower setting works great. First review: I am not very impressed. The pros are that it is very easy to use and clean and fits great in a car cup holder. What sucked is that it soaks whatever surface it is on. The water basically pools around it rather than diffuses into the air. I ruined a book and papers sitting on the nightstand that was near it. And I didn’t notice any difference in the dryness of air. I was also bummed that you can’t use essential oils with this. I read reviews stating it had this feature…obviously I should not rely on reviews for function but I was still let down. Overall, not worth it.

Keeps the air moist from the dry heat during winter season. So far does the job.

Editing 2/4/21 The motor on this died yesterday. Kind of disappointed about it. I would have expected this to last a few years but that didnt happen. I bought another brand this time around to see if thatll last longer. I have probably bought 20 humidifiers over the years. Each one had pros and cons. The worst were the humidifiers with filters because after a year or two the style changed and the filters werent available anymore for the older models. Frustrating and a waste of money in the long run. In addition all the humidifiers had small fill holes and cleaning the tanks were hard. But with forced hot air heat not having a humidifier in the bedrooms means waking up with a headache every single morning so once again I was forced to find a humidifier. I put this off thinking Id find the same old same old. When I saw this one I was skeptical but hopeful as I added it to my cart. I figured worst case Id be returning it when it didnt work well. Well Ill start off by saying I wont be returning this one. It was super easy to set up and fill. The control button is right in the front and easy to access. There are several levels so you can set for a little humidity or more depending on how much moisture you need. Its simple to add additional water right through the top so refilling is a snap. The best parts? Cleaning is a snap as you just wipe out the reserve. No more arm gymnastics trying to get through a tiny hole in an awkward tank. AND theres no filter. Yes no filter to replace over and over until the stop making them. The household water is hard so Ill end up with white powder on the file cabinet where the humidifier is located but Im good with it. Easier to wipe down the surface then worry about filters. So if you are looking for an easy to use humidifier that really works stop searching and order this one. You wont be disappointed.

I love the ease of use of this humidifier! I took it out of the box, put it on my dresser, filled up the tank with a pitcher, plugged it in, and turned it on. Easy peasy. No leakage and it shuts off when its empty. My one and ONLY wish is that the lowest setting didnt put out quite so much mist. With other humidifiers Ive owned, the mist on the lowest setting was barely discernible, which is whats desired sometimes. Ive pushed the button through the levels and, yep, this truly is the lowest. If you want a lot of mist, this is the humidifier for you. UPDATE: The seller sent me a letter telling me that, if I hadnt had a 5-star experience with the product, I should contact him via email and gave his address. I just sent the email and hope to hear a response, but well see. The problem is that the mist that pours out on the lowest setting is so excessive that, though initially going up, rapidly falls back to the floor. I have hardwood floors and I rent and this is just asking for trouble. Even though I have a towel on the floor, I found a puddle of water underneath the towel. Ive missed the return period, unfortunately, so will be selling it and getting one that better suits my needs. Still love the top fill, large tank, and ease of cleaning. Just cant risk the expense of fixing a hardwood floor. EDIT: The seller offers great customer service! After reaching out to them via email, I was able to exchange the unit, despite it being after the refund period. However, the unit they sent didnt work. The mist came out of the air intake vent and none came out of the top; it also leaked. So back to the seller it went. The next one they sent does the same thing as the first: on the first setting, low, a huge plume of mist goes up a couple of feet and then falls to the floor, leaving a puddle of water. If the mist doesnt go up very far, how can it add humidity to the room? Even after running overnight, there was no discernable difference in the humidity level. It says its for large rooms. My room is 10x11, so Id think that the humidity would be almost too much. It is not. I will be writing the seller again to ask for a refund. Hopefully, theyll do it. Such an expensive unit should be perfect, imo.

1.- Easy to put together, 2.- very silent(unlike the humidifier I previously owned) 3. Like that it is white and not the standard Black color 4.The directions, are hidden within the 13 page booklet that comes with the humidifier. I literally had to use my yellow highlighter, in order to get to the directions quickly again. And the directions are NOT easy to follow. They assume the owner understands some of the basic procedures, which they should of not done. So I am extremely unhappy with this company. I will not buy another humidifier from them again. I will find another company that has detailed instructions in its humidifier manual.

Life changing seemed overwhelming of a title to my review, so we’ll go with sleep improving! I have been constantly getting up in the middle of the night to hack out from the back of my throat or blowing my nose all the nasty. I’m not sick, no flu, no sore throat, I don’t have severe allergies, it didn’t make any sense why I always had nasty mucous build up, especially when I am laying on my back sleeping. Did some googling and found out too dry of air can cause your body to over compensate, developing mucous, but so much so that it can feel like you have a glump of it blocking your airway so badly, you can’t properly breathe. I was losing so much sleep for the past few months. I tried neti pots but that was temporary relief before ultimately back at the sink. Humidifiers apparently did the trick, took a stab at this one. No regrets!! Super thankful. Since day one of using this, I have not gotten up outta bed unless I was thirsty and needed to empty my bladder! Some things to note; -Shipping was fast as prime could be, but it wasn’t the product inside an Amazon box, just the product box itself, I don’t get these very often. I don’t think anyone would try and steal off my porch anyway seeing a humidifier, lol -The light is a bit bright, you can shut off the inside light where the tank is, but the button led is still always on if the humidifier is on. Not too much of a bother, I’ve grown accustomed to wearing a sleep eye patch. -Filled this up to max line, full blast, and I still have plenty leftover after 12 hrs of use. -I am a hot sleeper and was afraid this humidifier would make it ‘humid’, meaning hot. But it’s super refreshing getting a nice mist on my skin. I might have to buy more just to place throughout my apartment! (But I only have the issue when I’m sleeping) Thanks for making an awesome product!
