Usage: One unit in a semi-closed room ~150 sq ft, running for 1-2 hours at a time for a total of 5-6 hours daily. This unit is impressive out of the box. It holds a lot of water and produces a lot of steam...sometimes. It requires at least weekly cleaning to maintain even respectable performance. Great capacity, but over time it has begun to leak and will now not hold more than about 25% of capacity without leaving a nasty puddle. Aromatherapy door is useless and difficult to use, a cheap piece of foam that is nothing more than a mold trap. And dont waste your time trying to contact the company, they dont respond to emails and their phone # is a perpetual queue. At this price point, I expect far better performance, far fewer headaches, and definitely more than 4 months of support from the manufacturer. There are too many other options to return to or recommend this product.

At first I was concerned about the size but now I like that it is smaller as it can fit on my nightstand comfortably right next to the bed. Works very well. It has helped open me up and reduce congestion as well as sleep easy. It says it lasts for at least 8 hours but I am fast asleep by then so I am not sure on that.

UPDATE: I have three of the 4L ones. I live in California. Why cant I purchase the 6L one? (Will not ship to CA) This is a godsend. After experiencing the usual allergies for years (they exist for me all year-round), they were exacerbated by other environmental conditions for a while. And I have never found a humidifier that I love ... until this one. Ive tried at least 8 different brands of humidifier over the past 4 years. And this baby is the best. UPDATE: It does not appear to actually shut off when out of water. It just stops. I learned this after adding water and mist immediately started up again. Also, the cycling through settings (5 button pushes and its off) is mystifying. IE, if I have it on the 2nd mist setting, I dont know when its actually off until mist stops - that means if I want to set it on a medium mist, I need to push the button until the mist stops. That means its off. Then, count the number of pushes to determine the mnist output. Minor problems both - since this humidifier works so well, humidifies a large room (600 sq ft) within an hour, mist output always consistent, the lights are truly unobtrusive. Im purchasing a second one for the bedroom. --Not too big, and does not empty too quickly - even on the highest output. --The settings are true to the amount of mist (and quick to bring humidity up in a 500sq ft room --100% quiet operation (never a gurgle, or hiccup from top to bottom tank water movement) --We have great water here on the west side of Los Angeles, so never any white dust. --No moisture underneath the unit or on the floor. --No leaking. --And this was running it for over 48 hours nonstop. Ive used it for a week. Its very dry in socal - especially on the hot days (this week, its been in the solid 80s. Humidity is consistently between 48-60. I had to turn it off one day because the humidity was staying solid at 58. I cannot say enough good about it. I love the black color. It is less obtrusive than white (which Ive always had in the past). And cleaning will be a snap. I havent used the essential oils tray. I have had other humidifiers with this feature (and a small sponge / tray) and have found that it doesnt work - or, rather when it does, its only about 2 minutes. (Frankly, for essential oils, I have two units specifically designed for that. Much better than trying to combine it into a humidifier) I really dont understand the complaints here about the blue light. The first few days, I used it in my bedroom (300sq ft) And I need pitch dark to sleep. Pressing the button for 3 seconds turns the blue light off. And the button light turns off completely after a few minutes. Even not turning the blue light off - I really needed to strain to see it across the room. Its a deep deep violet that does not illuminate the strip fully. Its a hint of color, really. Besides, I use a blindfold - or face they call it, too. Best invention for pitch dark sleeping, ever! I purchased another brand at the same time for another room. That was a disaster! Didnt even work well in the first 8 hours of use! (sputtered, no consistent stream... etc) Will be returning that one. Im saving up $$ to get two more of these units. Not only do my sinuses (and skin!) love the moisture - but my plants are thanking me, too. ;-]

I purchased this item since I travel a lot with my baby. It’s pretty small so not sure it really helps a big hotel room, but I just put it closer to my baby’s bassinet. It does seem to spray out a good amount of water so be cautious of that when placing.

Editing 2/4/21 The motor on this died yesterday. Kind of disappointed about it. I would have expected this to last a few years but that didnt happen. I bought another brand this time around to see if thatll last longer. I have probably bought 20 humidifiers over the years. Each one had pros and cons. The worst were the humidifiers with filters because after a year or two the style changed and the filters werent available anymore for the older models. Frustrating and a waste of money in the long run. In addition all the humidifiers had small fill holes and cleaning the tanks were hard. But with forced hot air heat not having a humidifier in the bedrooms means waking up with a headache every single morning so once again I was forced to find a humidifier. I put this off thinking Id find the same old same old. When I saw this one I was skeptical but hopeful as I added it to my cart. I figured worst case Id be returning it when it didnt work well. Well Ill start off by saying I wont be returning this one. It was super easy to set up and fill. The control button is right in the front and easy to access. There are several levels so you can set for a little humidity or more depending on how much moisture you need. Its simple to add additional water right through the top so refilling is a snap. The best parts? Cleaning is a snap as you just wipe out the reserve. No more arm gymnastics trying to get through a tiny hole in an awkward tank. AND theres no filter. Yes no filter to replace over and over until the stop making them. The household water is hard so Ill end up with white powder on the file cabinet where the humidifier is located but Im good with it. Easier to wipe down the surface then worry about filters. So if you are looking for an easy to use humidifier that really works stop searching and order this one. You wont be disappointed.

Loved this thing, but it stopped working after 2 months. I did not use it daily, so the short lifespan is frustrating for something not used that often.

Review for the GENIANI Portable Small Cool Mist Humidifiers 250ML. It is a nice little cool mist vaporizer, very quiet. But I would only recommend it for a very small area like at a desk or small cubicle.

Finally an easy to clean humidifier that also looks good! I’ve had so many of these machines and this one is stellar. It’s the easiest to clean! However, the light never turns off. I read instructions on how to shut it off and how it should also turn off on its own but it never does and the 3 second turn off feature doesn’t work either. I sleep next to it so it’s quite annoying. There may just be a glitch in my Machine and not others since others get it off somehow. Other than that, it would be perfect
