PowerBridge TWO-CK Dual Outlet Recessed In-Wall Cable Management System with PowerConnect for Wall-Mounted Flat Screen LED, LCD, and Plasma TV’s

> 3 dayI bought a (now discontinued) PowerBridge product (the TSCK) previously and I was sold on these things to the extent that buying the TWO-CK was a no-brainer. However, this is not a better replacement for the earlier product and for the purposes of specifically reviewing this item, does identify a number of things I really dont like. - Generally weaker plastic. I dont know if it is cheaper - feels so to me. - The wings that flip as you turn the screw in order to secure this to the dry wall (remodeling box style mounting) are thin and weak. They are an awful lot thinner actually, harder to screw and it seems to me, easier to break. - As a result of the above, also harder to unscrew. I found it entirely possible to unscrew and the wing wouldnt free itself. This can put you in a position where you unscrew too far and lose the wing into the cavity, rendering the product useless. Installer error maybe? Well, I think intuitively youll keep unscrewing if the unit is still tight to the wall so I think this is a fault with the product. - The brushes (that cover the cavity through which you feed the cables) slide out of the units just by holding it a certain way. If you dont know this, you do risk losing the brushes in the wall cavity. Either these need to be more secure or the version on the prior product is better. You can actually just accidentally slide it out while pushing a cable through too (dont need to hold it a certain angle) - the brushes resist this and thus can move sideways as they do. It can be challenging to keep the brushes in place. - The upper unit (the one that goes behind the TV) has a housing/protrusion for the electrics and this hangs down right behind where the brushes are. This partially obstructs the passage of wires - it can be a little more difficult to feed big connections (such as VGA plugs) through, or...more connections when youve passed a handful of cables through already. Seems odd to create a product that obstructs what is intended to be a place to pass cables through. Not a bad product but this iteration seems a step back to me. You can work with all this though.

> 3 dayVery nicely packaged, all contents in perfect working order. Easy to install with provided template. I was able to fit nine (9) CAT6 cables and one (1) HDMI cable through the cable opening, no issues!

> 3 dayThis was a very easy way to hide cables in the wall that meets electrical code. While the brush pass through could be larger, it worked for the minimal cables I had. Easy installation, saved me $250 from a handyman doing the install.

> 3 dayOverall, this product worked well and as expected but I did run into one issue. The wall I installed this on is plaster so the thickness was different than that of drywall and as it turns out, what this product is apparently made for. The outlet panels have screws at the top and bottom that turn a plastic flap up to secure the panel from behind the wall, but my wall was too thick for the space provided by the screws/flaps. One of my outlet cuts was very precise so the outlet stayed flush into the wall when I inserted it, but the other outlet cut was not as precise so I could not get the outlet to secure without the screw/flap working. I have thought about a few workarounds but have not attempted them yet. Id recommend that the product description and/or title would clearly indicate that these are meant for drywall installation. I realize that the design makes this product installation easiest when dealing with drywall, but had the panel screws been spaced differently and used anchors, the product could have been used universally for all types of walls without any modification

> 3 dayThe install was easy enough! The plastic is good, not great. I bought a different one for another install years ago that had excellent grade plastic which counts when your sliding this into drywall and your cuts aren’t spot on. In my opinion you want a snug fit for better install results. It does the trick and I like the space for multiple HDMI cables and other cords. Looks great!

> 3 dayIt stopped working in less than a year. Last week it stopped providing power to the tv. I can no longer see the led light on the top box (suggesting no power in the top panel), but the bottom panel has LED ON, suggesting the wire has developed an issue on its own (while it was just sitting behind the drywall), and I have not touched it since installation. There is no product support to reach out to for replacement.

> 3 dayI used this on a wall mounted flat screen tv that I had previously wired behind the drywall by just cutting a hole behind the tv and fishing the cables out the bottom through a single gang remodel plastic electric box. It worked fine except for the tv power cord going through the wall was not up to code. I saw this unit on YouTube and thought that this was a better solution to hiding the cables. Because I already had some holes cut and the hdmi cables running behind the drywall it made for an easy installation. I was able to tip the tv up far enough so that I could install it without removing the tv. Very pleased with it although no one can see it or realize that it is there. I guess that’s what they mean by “hiding” the cables. Highly recommend it. Crap, I just realized that I have another one to do in the master bedroom!

Greater than one weekAt first when i put on the product it was good. However, by the second time we took the boxes off and tried to replace a wire, we found out the clips on the back of the boxes were cracked. Now theres no way for us to use this product again unless we can get replacement clips from PowerBridge. i dont think material should be this fragile because we didnt use that much excessive force while screwing it in, but may be we are just that strong... All that needed to be replaced are the clips, hopefully we will hear back from Powerbridge or Amazon for replacement parts

> 3 dayThe product is really straight forward and amazing. Its a cheap, easy DIY solution to hide wires in your wall. Learn from my mistake, though: - Make sure you plan your cable job accordingly by ensuring you have all the needed cables for all devices in long enough versions of those cables to run them fully through the wall. I made the mistake of not getting an extended audio fiber cable for sound and had to run to the store and remove and reattach the wall modules, causing the plastic wings to break from being removed and re-added so many times. I also didnt know at first that you were supposed to pre-thread the plastic wings before putting them in the wall, so read the directions thoroughly and dont be an idiot like me. I contacted support and they were nice enough to ship me replacement plastic wings same-day for free since I accidentally broke the ones that come with it from removing/re-adding the wall modules a few times to make up for my poor planning. Be gentle - use hand screw driver only, not power drills, and plan the project well in advance so you only have to place the modules once and be done with it. GREAT product, GREAT customer service, 5 stars.
