Greater than one weekUpgraded my RV house battery to a 100Ah solar-type SLA / AGM deep cycle battery and learned they need 3 stage charging. The converter in my RV is a very old 2 stage charger. Talked to the battery maker support team and they said my converter would not hurt the battery but that it would never charge the battery over 80 to 85% of full since it didnt have the 14.6VDC mode. So I removed and replaced my old RV converter with this unit and it works great! I bought a battery monitor so I can watch the rate of discharge in detail so I know when to fire up the generator or plug into shore power.

> 3 dayBefore purchasing I read reviews, and some said this unit would not output the rated current. I have seen this 55amp unit output 45amps when my two group 31 batteries were at 12.5V with an additional 12V load of 16 amps. Also it switches between charging cycles as you would expect. But FYI, I have a Honda EU1000i generator and it cannot start this charger if the battery voltage is below 13.4V. So I needed to use a 10 amp charger, bring the batteries up to 13.4, and then switch over to this charger. I called the manufacture to ask if there was any way to limit the maximum current. And they answered the phone! There is no way to adjust it. You can adjust the voltage levels but this would not be enough or the correct way to fix this. They told me for my Honda eu1000i I would need to go to the 35 amp model. The fan is noisy and only runs at one high speed.

> 3 dayIm rather pleased with this unit. I bought the 55amp version to replace the Magnetek 6345 (45 amp) converter in my 1996 Fleetwood. I pulled out the charger/converter version and added an outlet under the fridge to the side of where the original was. I could have cut the cord off but this was easier for me. Im planning to use it to charge a pair of 105 amp hour AMGs and I think it will do fine for that. With my clamp meter I was getting 20 plus amps into the battery I currently have which is about what I would expect. When its going Im getting 13.7 volts in the motorhome which is again what I would expect. I havent attempted to turn other items in the coach on and use the clamp meter to see what the most it puts out is but I see nothing to suggest less than the rated limits. I will update this if something changes as Im about to go on a 2 month trip. The one thing I will say as it wasnt easy to find online. If youre replacing the Magnetek as I did you will want to run the blue wire hooked up to the 12v fuse panel into the 12v lug the red wire is connected to.

> 3 daySo far, soo good. Its been running 24/7 for a month now with no glitches. The original unit in my RV was not keeping up with the demand of the two furnace motors and its been very cold. The reliability of the unit over the long haul is yet to be verified, hence the 4 stars.

> 3 dayThe length and width were ok but depth of my distribution panel was short. I was able to cut off one side of mounting feet and now is ok. The 3 stage rate is exactly as specified. The fan noise is noticeable but not excessive. Very satisfied with operation at this point.

> 3 dayCouldnt just plug it in to an older system so installation can be difficult. I am using in a truck camper. Now that it is installed I am very pleased with it so far.
