> 3 dayI like these clippers more than the typical kind that grasp or close in on the cats nails. Theyre lighter and less imposing to the novice than the typical kind. However, in both cases you need a cooperative cat. I suggest viewing a few videos before you decide whether to buy or not and to consider your cats disposition and reaction to having their nails cut as well as their nails themselves. My cat is very mellow almost all of the time, but his nails are sacrosanct. This means that its best to approach this as something that happens over multiple days and ideally when hes groggy. Its difficult to tell where the quick is on his nails, so while I had the powder nearby in case of bleeding, I employed the burrito method, where one wraps the cat in a blanket, and I was conservative with how much I clipped off. I didnt cause any bleeding, but his nails grew to a point where I heard him again as he sauntered across the hardwood floors...and felt him when he pawed at me. Fortunately, soon after, vets/pet groomers were open for routine appointments again, so I had them cut his nails to see the difference. They cut much more nail than I, though they hit the quick on one of them. Am I out of the nail-cutting business? No, Im still in the learning phase. For now, I see my role as giving my cat trims in-between visits to the vet/groomer, and this is a good product to work with.

Just the facts
Greater than one weekI didnt want to pay more for these but from Japan so I did. Well, they definitely get the job done way better than those cheapo junk ones. They dont rip the nails and splinter them. They do a good snip without damage to the nail.

> 3 dayIve never had a cat before, and never trimmed pet nails at all. This clippers are easy to hold and have good, clear use instructions on the back of the packaging. I didnt get bitten or scratched at all when I trimmed my cats nails.

> 3 dayIts still a small battle, but I win. The scissors being small I can conceal the weapon until the last moment Being left handed is not a problem with these. Once I get her into position, I can clearly see where to cut. The cut is clean and straight across which helps the next time, as the growth sticks out from the previous cut. At the price of professional grooming, buying this is a bargain.

> 3 dayThese cut smooth and clean with no cracking. Even on my 21 lb boy who has very thick nails were cut cleanly. I used to have to go quick and in multiple sessions. My cats didn’t fight it nearly as much which allowed me to get all of them done in one go! I hope they stay this sharp and easy to squeeze!

21-11-2024Love these clippers! We have a lot of cats, and most of them behave like we are trying to kill them whenever we need to trim their claws. These clippers are so thin and sharp, I do the first five claws before the cat even knows whats happening! And they very easily even cut nicely through those fat old-cat claws. Sure, they are more expensive, but worth every penny! I wished I had found them years ago, I would have saved our cats and myself a lot of stress!

> 3 dayAfter owning 3 chihuahuas and spend hundreds on various types of nail trimmers and clippers, we’ve finally found one that works for our chi. The clipper is very easy to hold, lightweight, and most importantly the blades are much thinner and cut the nails smooth like a butter. The product is made in Japan and the quality is excellent! The clipper also doesn’t make a sound so our chichi girl thought I was just touching her paws. If you’ve had issue cutting your dog nails, and if your dogs are toy/tiny breeds, I highly recommend you give this a try.

> 3 dayHave a very very old cat whose nails do not wear down - at all. Tried regular clippers but nipped her once too many times. She squirms so its hard not too. Was ready to take her into a cat groomer to get it done then I tried these. It still takes some work because she squirms but with the safe guards built into these clippers, I dont nip her anymore which makes us both happy.

> 3 dayI take the Made in Japan seriously. If I got a knock-off, whoever copied made a great product. It works very well. I kept telling the cat : Made in Japan - only the best quality for you, mister. He did not seem to be sold on the idea. He is a screamer by nature and the defensive wailing starts before I even get a chance to touch him for his mani-pedi. But these are quick on the job, so the torture is done with in no time.
