I almost bought a cheaper set of clippers. I mean, some are only $6.99, what a steal! Then I saw a review video where these were top rated. I figured if they worked theyd pay for themselves. I have two kittens. The first trim at the vet cost me ~2/3 of the cost of these expensive clippers. When I saw the bill, I immediately started researching DIY clipping solutions. The vet even agreed I should do my own trimming when I inquired about buying a set of clippers! These arrived in a smart little package looking much like tiny craft scissors. They are very thin and lightweight. I nervously grabbed my most skittish cat. I pet her till I was confident she was relaxed. She barely noticed the first couple clips. Then she caught on and tried to get away, but I expected that. Honestly, it was pretty easy to get 8 claws clipped in a few minutes time, totally exceeding my expectations. (Shes a real scaredy cat.) Im a novice or else it would have gone even quicker. These clippers are tiny and stealthy, though not as quiet as other reviews stated. Still, the clipping noise didnt seem to startle the cats as much as me handling their paws and pushing out their claws, which they got annoyed with. Also, the 2nd cat wanted to taste the clippers, so I had to kind of hold her head away from her paw. I have kids, so Im not a stranger to keeping my babies still to keep them safe while getting their nails cut. And my kids put up a MUCH bigger fuss than the kittens. Overall Im impressed that the product works as described with little effort. Im glad I splurged for the best on the market. I look forward to maintaining my kittens claws in the future.

I realized that the nail clipper that I been using was more than a few years old and that the blade was probably no longer sharp. Bought these. My cats really hate having their nails trimmed and this time wasnt much better. But the blades are so sharp that the whole process was much faster, so overall, a much better experience.

Best clippers I’ve ever had

Of all the 6 different brands of cat nail clippers I have bought, These are the best. The sharper the clipper, the less the cat complains. The only problem is that it does not stay sharp forever - and I dont know how to sharpen it.
