2ND UPDATE: The one that was exchanged for now is starting to ripple.. DO NOT BUY THIS ... it is way to expensive and will ripple, we are about 15 days over the date to send back so we are stuck with it! So disappointed. I would give it zero points if I could!!

Like all RGB perimeter illuminated mouse mats, this one uses a single strand of optical fibre that extends around the perimeter of the mat. The problem in Razers case is that the optical fibre strand simply isnt long enough to evenly extend around the perimeter. There are various YouTube videos instructing consumers to try and push this cable around to flatten out the mat. Do not do this. It will only make it worse. Send it back for a refund.

It is a good rgb mouse pad with good size and feels good with every mouse I have put on it. The light strip around the edge is bright enough for me and easy to adjust.

I personally truly enjoyed this product, and have been a fan of RAZER products in the past. The Razer Goliathus Extended Chroma Gaming Mousepad only lasted for about 6 months before dimming, and while still under warranty the lights went completely out. I reached out to RAZER, and they basically sent me into oblivion with emails without ever replacing it. They said they would, however ended up closing my ticket without even processing it. I cannot recommend this device for that reason alone.

Works well

Big, cool, but gets dirty fast

I purchased this device for gaming and the RGB qualities that it claimed to give but shortly after a few months the lights began to fade out and only random sections of the mat even lit up. I contacted support for this issue and submitted a ticket. Ill update my review when I hear back about what is determined.

Goliathus Chroma. What can I say? At this day and age where we need our mousepad to light up, Razer delivers on where it is most important: the quality of the cloth! And I gotta admit, the overwhelming price point doesn’t seem so ridiculous now that I’m actually using it. The cloth is perfect, the RGB (although only one zone) is easily customizable with the Synapse, and the bottom won’t slide off. Worth purchase!
