This keyboard is my first 60% keyboard, and I must say that I am highly impressed. While this keyboard is advertised for gaming, I believe it depends on the game or a remapping of keys. The only points I would deduct from this spectacular keyboard are the missing keys. First, yes I know - the point of a 60% keyboard is its compact nature... but the lack of easy access to a couple more keys is crucial to some of the PC games I play. I would have liked to retain easy single key access to the tilde, DEL, PgUp and PgDwn keys. If your games dont involve those keys - it shouldnt bother you at all. First, the quality of this keyboard is evident. The weight, the padded feet, the feel of the keys/switches and caps - all feel well constructed. The switches are quiet and responsive, the RGB lighting is easy to use and with many modes. I was impressed with the choices in connectivity - USB wired, bluetooth, and 2.4GHz wireless - all of which were simple and straightforward to enable. There is a simple switch to toggle between bluetooth and wireless modes - and the USB wireless dongle sits in its storage spot just under the keyboard (held in by a magnet). Also, the extra USB ports make it easy to attach other devices directly into the keyboard. RK uses its own proprietary switches, which I quite prefer over other proprietary switches like Romer-G. Battery life is quite suitable and easily recharged via USB. I am quite fond of the color scheme as well. The only nit-picky complaint I have is the quality of the USB cable, which is ok but not of the same quality feel of the keyboard. Overall, this is an outstanding keyboard for gaming and daily use.

Ive had several RK keyboards back in the day and they were always a pretty decent budget branded boards but this new RK61 Plus is a very interesting board from them. The build quality is really good compared to my past experiences with them. The housing is nice and solid, doesnt sound too hollow, and doesnt flex too much. Good quality plastic. What really surprises me is that the key switches feel and sound great. The keycaps are also pretty good quality and feel good too. One feature I thought was pretty cool was that it has some USB ports on the back that you can use if youre in wired mode which I always use. This is great if you want to keep your wireless mouse receiver close by for better connection, or if you want to power your LED mouse pad, or do both. Its a pretty interesting feature that I would like to see on a lot more keyboards. I really like this board and its earned its place on my display board as its just a really cool board to me. The price is what I would consider pretty fair for a board like this and in the price range its pretty on par with others. I give it a 10/10, Well done.

For $75 this keyboard is a great beginner board for people looking to get into the custom keyboard hobby! The board is super easy to disassemble, it comes with a key cap/switch puller and it even has foam already placed in the bottom of the case so it sounds pretty decent out of the box. The stabilizers are decently lubed as well. A mod I would recommend for this board is the tape mod (put masking tape on the back of the pcb, I did 2 layers) and it will start sounding really nice. I havent lubed my switches yet and Im not sure if they are pre-lubed but with just the pcb mod the sound of this board went from a maybe a 6.5 to a solid 7.5, especially with the spacebar and backspace key, they sound extra thocky. Overall the skycyan switches are also really smooth and responsive, I tested them out by playing apex legends and they felt great! Just keep in mind that the LEDs on this board are north facing so cherry profile keycaps are not recommended.

5 Pin Hot Swappable. The Sky Cyan switches feel and sound great. Just what I was looking for on the go.

I had the original RK61 for a while and wanted to upgrade. This keyboard was a great choice. Everything you loved about the RK61 and some! The silent sky switches are a bit different from anything Ive had. The best way I can explain them is that they feel light to type on. It doesnt get any better than this if youre looking for a great budget keyboard.

While this is not my go-to size/layout for a small keyboard, I have enjoyed using this one. The lack of dedicated arrow keys is not my thing, but I did not deduct any stars for that since thats a personal flavor thing, and also not a fair critique for this kind of KB layout. I tested this with a couple different games (Terraria and Deep Rock Galactic) and it held up absolutely fine with each one. The switches are smooth and responsive and the keycaps feel nice to type on. I actually prefer the smoothness of these switches to my primary writing KB and am thinking I now need to buy a set of these cyan ones to match that experience. The battery life is excellent; I never even charged it after opening it and have been using it for about a week now maybe 30-60 min a day and havent had to charge it yet. The connectivity is all nice and I also love how this KB has a dedicated on/off switch. Ive had some that dont and it drives me crazy! Its got some weight to it so it wont slide around on the desk, but would be easily portable for a mobile game night (the primary reason I picked this up for myself, actually), and It feels solid and good to use. Highly recommend if you are in the market for a compact gaming board that still gives a nice smooth typing experience.

Likes- - I like the size of it. It has a smaller footprint but has some weight to it. Keys feel good when using. - Lighting: the light functionality of it is impressive Dislikes- - Id say the keyboard works well 90-95% of the time. However, every so often you will type a key and it will not show on screen. It happens enough to be an annoying regular issue. - No number pad. I can live with this, but wanted to mention it. - NO ARROW KEYS. This is almost a deal breaker here. That has to be 4 of the most used keys on a keyboard, and this just doesnt have them. I cant imagine gaming and not using arrow keys. So 3 stars, and that might be generous. Its a good idea but its got several bugs that need to be addressed.

This is a very good keyboard for the price and punches well above its weight. At the list price of $76, its not bad, but at the time of writing its marked down to $60, and at that price point this is basically a steal. The packaging is good, no worries there. Included you get the keyboard, manual, extra switches, combo switch/keycap puller, and a usb-c cable. The included extra switches and switch puller are a really nice touch, and kind of signal to buyers that although this keyboard is already good stock, feel free to mess around with it. The included cable is fine, nothing special. Would have liked to see a braided cable at least, but again, not a huge deal. Out of the box, this is a good keyboard. Though Im not a fan of linear switches personally, the switches feel smooth and would be fine without lubing. Stabilizers have a decent amount of lube so they also aound fine, but theyre also clip in stabilizers so they can only get so good. The keycaps are fine, nothing special. They are doubleshot, so the legends wont fade, and the legends all look good. The real selling point of this keyboard though is the connectivity options. You can do wireless, either bluetooth or 2.4ghz, which means this will be usuable for gaming without any noticeable latency. You can also use it wired, and if you do it has a usb hub built in, freeing up another usb port on your machine. Also, the switches are hotswap, so while I personally dont like linear switches, its very easy to swap those out for something else.

I know this comes up as a keyboard for gaming. Last time I gamed with any regularity was getting Mrs. Pacman to eat ghosts and cherries, or with my space battleship shooting down invaders marching back and forth across my screen. I dont know how this keyboard works with games today...mostly because I have no idea about games today! It caught my attention for two other reasons...First, I travel for work and hate working off the laptop keyboard. I thought this would be a nice compact keyboard that I could pop in my computer bag and use wherever Im working. It seems to work okay for this purpose. Ive used it only for a few minutes, but it seems to be typing fine. Pictures shows its size compared to my other bluetooth wireless keyboard. The LED lighting is a cool effect. Its a mechanical keyboard, so pressing the keys feels very substantial and old school. I have not tried it as wireless yet as I am currently charging it. I have no idea what hot-swappable means so I cant make any comment on how well this feature works. I also intend to use this on my Roku TV instead of the point and click keyboard on screen for entering in searches and username/passwords. Im giving it a presumed 5 stars now because it types out what I am writing and looks cool. I will update if I come across any other issues as I explore using this.
