The keyboard is a little small without a 9-key on the side but it feels great while typing on it. If you use the number pad a lot, this isnt for you but if it isnt something you need it isnt a problem. Larger hands might find the keys close together but I dont have any problems with it and I wear a large size in womens gloves. I havent needed to swap out any keys so I havent tried that part.

    Greater than one week

This is a must have for gaming, new or seasoned. The satisfying click is amazingly soft to use, and the colors are calming for any room. The battery lasts so long, I forgot it even needed to be charged for weeks.

Likes- - I like the size of it. It has a smaller footprint but has some weight to it. Keys feel good when using. - Lighting: the light functionality of it is impressive Dislikes- - Id say the keyboard works well 90-95% of the time. However, every so often you will type a key and it will not show on screen. It happens enough to be an annoying regular issue. - No number pad. I can live with this, but wanted to mention it. - NO ARROW KEYS. This is almost a deal breaker here. That has to be 4 of the most used keys on a keyboard, and this just doesnt have them. I cant imagine gaming and not using arrow keys. So 3 stars, and that might be generous. Its a good idea but its got several bugs that need to be addressed.

I dont have a big desk so this keyboard is perfect for tight space. The keys are easy to type with. Great color, it matches my desk color. The battery life lasts 3-4 days with one charge with about 5 hours usage time a day. I really like that its wireless. Overall, very good keyboard

Impressed with the out the box design and sound of this keyboard. Out the box thock was better than most keyboards Ive purchased in the $100+ range. The only mod I considered doing was the tempest mod (which did make a difference, but wasnt completely necessary tbh). Might gotten lucky with my stabilizer but they were very well lubed. May add extra dampening material under the space bar as it is a bit clunky. Overall great for the purchase point. I was surprised with the switches as well. I was staged to swap them out but have found I decently enjoy the actuation on them. The only con (which is why I docked a star) Id say is with these being ABS switches and no rebuy templates for the key caps. This does come with a manual, so the shortcuts are all listed there, but unless this keyboard is your daily driver, if you were to switch key caps overtime you would definitely forget all of these shortcuts as theyre not the standards ones Ive been using on all other 60% keyboards. Wish there was an option to just re-buy these key caps after they start shining through as these keys specifically show all shortcuts on the lower wall of the keys.

I got this to replace a full size mechanical keyboard on my work desk. The lack of a numpad took some getting used to, but overall I love this keyboard. It has a good, well built feel to it. It definitely cleared up some room on my desk, and its nice to be able to pick up the keyboard and sit back without having a cord. I really like this keyboard, and I am very happy with it.

This is a great update to the RK61 that is everything that the original is. The layout of this board is very well thought out. The layers to reach different functions make sense, for the most part. The keycaps included in this set look really nice with this board and the stabs sound quite nice out of the box. Keys feel stable and the overall sound of the board is slightly on the deeper side. You can use 3pin or 5pin switches on this board but youll want to be careful with cherry profile keycaps. The LEDs are north facing and can cause some interference with a lot of different switches that you may want to choose. The USB passthrough is another great welcome that I couldnt be happier to see. Overall if you are looking for a great mechanical 60% keyboard this one is really solid out of the box and with a little time and work modding it, it has potential to be a monster.

I had the original RK61 for a while and wanted to upgrade. This keyboard was a great choice. Everything you loved about the RK61 and some! The silent sky switches are a bit different from anything Ive had. The best way I can explain them is that they feel light to type on. It doesnt get any better than this if youre looking for a great budget keyboard.

I have several RK Royal Kludge Keyboard’s most of which were a purchase, this keyboard was provided at no cost. That having been said this is by far the best of them all to date. I am a bit of a keyboard enthusiast and can honestly say this is by far the best 60% I currently own and prefer it to most of the 65% & 75% boards I have & I have many. What I like about this keyboard: -Linear Sky Cyan switches are super smooth and very quiet (silent even) -Hot Swappable, but like these switches so much I don’t see myself every swapping them out -Bluetooth, can be paired with up to 3 Bluetooth devices -2.4g wireless, with magnetic storage so don’t have to wonder where you left the dongle. -USB Type C cable connection when wired or charging. -USB C Hub when using wired, you won’t believe how often this comes in handy. -Nearly every function if not all functions with FN key, all are labeled on the front side of the keycap so does not clutter top face and won’t wear away. -Fantastic RGB lighting with many options to chose from without having to download software. -Instructions manual which I would not normally use or comment on is also probably the best I have received with a keyboard. Directions are clear and readable without a microscope and finding various functions was extremely easy. What I love about this Keyboard: -Typing experience is incredible, I have 30+ keyboards ranging from budget to expensive only one can compares to the typing experience out of the box as the RK61 and it cost 3 times what this one does on sale. I normally type 75-80wpm, before getting comfortable with this keyboard I tested my typing speed and was blown away after testing at 90wpm (a new record for me). What’s more it was effortless. -Super quiet, no pining, ringing, squeaking, or creaking (even the space bar). Great for office or video conferencing and wish I could get this in an 1800 format for productivity use. Absolutely amazing what they have accomplished with this keyboard, I can’t say enough how much I enjoy using this keyboard. - No modifications needed, works perfectly out of the box as is. -All connections work with no delay and switching is super-fast. -Love the color combination of board and keycaps and white typeface is very clear even in dim lighting. -Weight and feel of this keyboard give me a sense of quality. What some may not like: -I don’t think keycaps are PBT but can’t tell so does not bother me, they feel, sound quality. - Keycaps are not shine through, for touch typists won’t be an issue, especially on a 60% board and should not be an issue for anyone IMO with the lighting cast from laptop or screen legends should still be highly visible being white against a dark background. Highly recommend this keyboard, especially if any of the things mentioned in this review appeal to you, you might just save a few bucks because there are many options out there but for reasons mentioned none I have tried have really measured up to this one.

This RK61 Plus is a feature packed keyboard. It seems to do everything in its feature set quite well. Ive been using this as my daily keyboard for a few weeks straight. I do gaming and work at my computer so Ive put this board through its paces. Out of the box you get the keyboard, a USB-C to USB-C cable, which also has a USB-C to USB-A adapter attached. This is a nice touch and it allows for wider compatibility as USB-C gets more and more popular. It also includes four extra key switches as a well as a combination key cap and key switch puller. This keyboard uses SkyCyan switches, which are linear switches. They remind me of red switches but with a little bit more actuation force. The switches appear to be lubed and have a nice sound. The board is hot swappable, meaning you can change your switches out for tactile and other linear switches if you dont like the SkyCyan switches. The board uses north facing RGB LEDs. In terms of connectivity the board supports bluetooth, 2.4ghz via the included USB-A dongle which is located under the keyboard, or wired use via USB. When you use the keyboard via the wired connection there is a USB-A and USB-C port on the back of the keyboard that you can also use to plug in additional peripherals like a mouse. This is limited to USB 2.0 speeds, and only works when using the wired connection. Battery life for the board has been good. I assume if youre doing lots of RGB all of the time the battery life will be shorter, but typically I just have a slight backlight or no lighting at all. The software for customization and lighting works well. Its got a lot of different effects you can use to customize the look of your board. The included keycaps are solid and have a nice feel when you are typing. They are not shine through keycaps which is a plus to me. There seems to be a misconception that a 60% keyboard uses narrower keys than a standard keyboard, and that is simply untrue. This board uses the standard size key caps and has a standard bottom row of keys so if youre looking to swap the key caps in the future you can get standard sets. The included key caps have nice legends that help you to learn the function layers of this keyboard. They are not overly intrusive and blend in well with the rest of the aesthetic of this keyboard. This keyboard bring a lot of features and is a good value if you are looking for a versatile mechanical 60% keyboard that works well in a wired or wireless setup.
