Impressed with the out the box design and sound of this keyboard. Out the box thock was better than most keyboards Ive purchased in the $100+ range. The only mod I considered doing was the tempest mod (which did make a difference, but wasnt completely necessary tbh). Might gotten lucky with my stabilizer but they were very well lubed. May add extra dampening material under the space bar as it is a bit clunky. Overall great for the purchase point. I was surprised with the switches as well. I was staged to swap them out but have found I decently enjoy the actuation on them. The only con (which is why I docked a star) Id say is with these being ABS switches and no rebuy templates for the key caps. This does come with a manual, so the shortcuts are all listed there, but unless this keyboard is your daily driver, if you were to switch key caps overtime you would definitely forget all of these shortcuts as theyre not the standards ones Ive been using on all other 60% keyboards. Wish there was an option to just re-buy these key caps after they start shining through as these keys specifically show all shortcuts on the lower wall of the keys.

The stock switches on this keyboard are so good, i decided to leave them on rather than transfer my Puprple Panda switches. On the other hand, the stabalizers arent the best. Take those out, pop in some Durock stabs lubed with dielectric grease and voila! Battery lifes great imo but this is my first wireless keyboard so I have no other frame of reference. Just buy it. Best part is that if a key stops working you can just pop in another. Edit: the signal is not the greatest. I have to sacrifice mouse space for the keyboard to work sometimes. Very troublesome in shooters like csgo and valorant where movement is crucial.

This RK61 Plus is a feature packed keyboard. It seems to do everything in its feature set quite well. Ive been using this as my daily keyboard for a few weeks straight. I do gaming and work at my computer so Ive put this board through its paces. Out of the box you get the keyboard, a USB-C to USB-C cable, which also has a USB-C to USB-A adapter attached. This is a nice touch and it allows for wider compatibility as USB-C gets more and more popular. It also includes four extra key switches as a well as a combination key cap and key switch puller. This keyboard uses SkyCyan switches, which are linear switches. They remind me of red switches but with a little bit more actuation force. The switches appear to be lubed and have a nice sound. The board is hot swappable, meaning you can change your switches out for tactile and other linear switches if you dont like the SkyCyan switches. The board uses north facing RGB LEDs. In terms of connectivity the board supports bluetooth, 2.4ghz via the included USB-A dongle which is located under the keyboard, or wired use via USB. When you use the keyboard via the wired connection there is a USB-A and USB-C port on the back of the keyboard that you can also use to plug in additional peripherals like a mouse. This is limited to USB 2.0 speeds, and only works when using the wired connection. Battery life for the board has been good. I assume if youre doing lots of RGB all of the time the battery life will be shorter, but typically I just have a slight backlight or no lighting at all. The software for customization and lighting works well. Its got a lot of different effects you can use to customize the look of your board. The included keycaps are solid and have a nice feel when you are typing. They are not shine through keycaps which is a plus to me. There seems to be a misconception that a 60% keyboard uses narrower keys than a standard keyboard, and that is simply untrue. This board uses the standard size key caps and has a standard bottom row of keys so if youre looking to swap the key caps in the future you can get standard sets. The included key caps have nice legends that help you to learn the function layers of this keyboard. They are not overly intrusive and blend in well with the rest of the aesthetic of this keyboard. This keyboard bring a lot of features and is a good value if you are looking for a versatile mechanical 60% keyboard that works well in a wired or wireless setup.

The keyboard feels really solid overall and the stabilizers are pretty good. It could use some lube and some mods but everything feels great.

This board is my first foray into the 60% layouts. I wanted to get something relatively inexpensive, as my only other board is a GMMK PRO, which is quite a bit more expensive. Other than a very high-pitched space bar, which was easily fixed, I am VERY impressed with this board so far. I have a Keychron K2, and to me, the initial build quality impression is much better, as is the sound. Ive become a bit of a snob when it comes to stabilizers, but Ill say these worked well right out of the box. As I mentioned, the space bar had a very high pitch to it. I cut a small bit of sound dampening material and put it on the bottom side of the space bar, and now it sounds pretty much like every other key...love the ease of the fix. I was also able to quickly find some key mapping software for it, which enabled me to remap a few keys and easily run it on my Mac at work. If I had one nitpick, its that it doesnt have any of the MacOS bottom row keycaps. Ive switched a couple keycaps and mappings, and Im sure Ill get used to it quickly. Ive only had it for a day, so I cant comment on the battery life yet. Im also not a gamer, so I have no idea how well it would work for gaming. So far, for what I use it for, very happy and impressed!

Works great, I use it on my Mini PC, and it seems to be fairly responsive. The battery life lasts for a good bit of time. Typing on it feels good and I can definitely recommend this keyboard.

This keyboard is currently the best gaming keyboard Ive had, and Ive used many different keyboards before. I especially like the feel and low noise level when pressing the keys. Everything just feels right and very comfortable. It has built-in rechargeable battery with the charging cable included and very long battery life. Im also glad this keyboard does not have that clicky sound that you would get from a blue switch keyboard. That clicky sound irritates me.

Royal Kludge is a great brand when it comes to budget keyboards. My very first one was a RK 61 as well. This one seemed more upgraded with their own switches in them. Such a great keyboard for the price point.

While this is not my go-to size/layout for a small keyboard, I have enjoyed using this one. The lack of dedicated arrow keys is not my thing, but I did not deduct any stars for that since thats a personal flavor thing, and also not a fair critique for this kind of KB layout. I tested this with a couple different games (Terraria and Deep Rock Galactic) and it held up absolutely fine with each one. The switches are smooth and responsive and the keycaps feel nice to type on. I actually prefer the smoothness of these switches to my primary writing KB and am thinking I now need to buy a set of these cyan ones to match that experience. The battery life is excellent; I never even charged it after opening it and have been using it for about a week now maybe 30-60 min a day and havent had to charge it yet. The connectivity is all nice and I also love how this KB has a dedicated on/off switch. Ive had some that dont and it drives me crazy! Its got some weight to it so it wont slide around on the desk, but would be easily portable for a mobile game night (the primary reason I picked this up for myself, actually), and It feels solid and good to use. Highly recommend if you are in the market for a compact gaming board that still gives a nice smooth typing experience.

Dont get me wrong-- this keyboard is great! Its quiet but gives me the click that I need. It doesnt have keyboard leg, though. I like keyboard legs because it makes me feel like my hands dont get tired as easily and it gives an extra boost for my hands since my wrist is on a keyboard rest.
