> 3 dayI have several RK Royal Kludge Keyboard’s most of which were a purchase, this keyboard was provided at no cost. That having been said this is by far the best of them all to date. I am a bit of a keyboard enthusiast and can honestly say this is by far the best 60% I currently own and prefer it to most of the 65% & 75% boards I have & I have many. What I like about this keyboard: -Linear Sky Cyan switches are super smooth and very quiet (silent even) -Hot Swappable, but like these switches so much I don’t see myself every swapping them out -Bluetooth, can be paired with up to 3 Bluetooth devices -2.4g wireless, with magnetic storage so don’t have to wonder where you left the dongle. -USB Type C cable connection when wired or charging. -USB C Hub when using wired, you won’t believe how often this comes in handy. -Nearly every function if not all functions with FN key, all are labeled on the front side of the keycap so does not clutter top face and won’t wear away. -Fantastic RGB lighting with many options to chose from without having to download software. -Instructions manual which I would not normally use or comment on is also probably the best I have received with a keyboard. Directions are clear and readable without a microscope and finding various functions was extremely easy. What I love about this Keyboard: -Typing experience is incredible, I have 30+ keyboards ranging from budget to expensive only one can compares to the typing experience out of the box as the RK61 and it cost 3 times what this one does on sale. I normally type 75-80wpm, before getting comfortable with this keyboard I tested my typing speed and was blown away after testing at 90wpm (a new record for me). What’s more it was effortless. -Super quiet, no pining, ringing, squeaking, or creaking (even the space bar). Great for office or video conferencing and wish I could get this in an 1800 format for productivity use. Absolutely amazing what they have accomplished with this keyboard, I can’t say enough how much I enjoy using this keyboard. - No modifications needed, works perfectly out of the box as is. -All connections work with no delay and switching is super-fast. -Love the color combination of board and keycaps and white typeface is very clear even in dim lighting. -Weight and feel of this keyboard give me a sense of quality. What some may not like: -I don’t think keycaps are PBT but can’t tell so does not bother me, they feel, sound quality. - Keycaps are not shine through, for touch typists won’t be an issue, especially on a 60% board and should not be an issue for anyone IMO with the lighting cast from laptop or screen legends should still be highly visible being white against a dark background. Highly recommend this keyboard, especially if any of the things mentioned in this review appeal to you, you might just save a few bucks because there are many options out there but for reasons mentioned none I have tried have really measured up to this one.

> 3 dayRoyal Kludge is a great brand when it comes to budget keyboards. My very first one was a RK 61 as well. This one seemed more upgraded with their own switches in them. Such a great keyboard for the price point.

> 3 dayI really enjoy using this keyboard. I didnt realize how much I missed the satisfying feel of mechanical keyboards and this one is really superb. The keys clatter softly and feel slightly cushioned. The keyboard is the perfect size for my hands and all the keys are easy to find without hitting any adjacent keys. Although the form factor is small, this keyboard has an excellent layout with function keys and cursors smartly managed via the conveniently located Fn key. The spacebar is super nice too, and has its own soft and satisfying feel. Size-wise, this keyboard is just slightly larger than my Mac keyboard, but obviously much taller. Connecting to my computer was super easy. The keyboard is Mac/Windows/iOS/Android compatible and offers three ways to connect. Either by Bluetooth, by 2.4 Ghz dongle or via a supplied USB cable which also doubles as a charging cable (Mac/Win only). Did I mention this keyboard is rechargeable? The dongle is cleverly stored in a recessed space on the bottom of the keyboard. No matter which way I chose to connect, the keyboard was quickly located by my computer and identified correctly. The keyboard is lit by RGB LEDs and the pattern, speed, colors, etc. can all be changed on the keyboard via Special Function keys. The Fn key is also used to access other Special Function keys and Multimedia keys for both Windows and Mac computers. The manual is actually quite useful and not terribly written. This keyboard is wonderfully made and is built like a tank. It feels like it will last a very long time, but just in case, they also provide a key cap puller and four extra switches that can easily be replaced. This is the first keyboard Ive had in a long time that is repairable, with swappable switches and key caps. I would give this product six stars if I could! I am very, very impressed and happy to have this outstanding new keyboard as my primary input device for my computer. Definitely a must-have for my office! Buy with confidence.

18-04-2025Impressed with the out the box design and sound of this keyboard. Out the box thock was better than most keyboards Ive purchased in the $100+ range. The only mod I considered doing was the tempest mod (which did make a difference, but wasnt completely necessary tbh). Might gotten lucky with my stabilizer but they were very well lubed. May add extra dampening material under the space bar as it is a bit clunky. Overall great for the purchase point. I was surprised with the switches as well. I was staged to swap them out but have found I decently enjoy the actuation on them. The only con (which is why I docked a star) Id say is with these being ABS switches and no rebuy templates for the key caps. This does come with a manual, so the shortcuts are all listed there, but unless this keyboard is your daily driver, if you were to switch key caps overtime you would definitely forget all of these shortcuts as theyre not the standards ones Ive been using on all other 60% keyboards. Wish there was an option to just re-buy these key caps after they start shining through as these keys specifically show all shortcuts on the lower wall of the keys.

> 3 dayThe linear switches feel super soft. Key to key feels slightly inconsistent, but not horrible enough not to use. The space bar stabilizer has a little bit of ticking and has a very slight squeak occasionally. The switches it comes with are 5 pin linears and are very smooth so spring ping doesnt seem to be as issue. Each key is backlit around the edges, but not through them. This is easily fixable with a different set of keycaps. The board feels very well built and solid. It has a pretty decent weight for something this small. The extra ports on the keyboard work in wired mode as a USB hub, which I have no issues with. All in all, this is a great keyboard to have for any minimalist or someone with small desk space.

> 3 dayThis keyboard is my first 60% keyboard, and I must say that I am highly impressed. While this keyboard is advertised for gaming, I believe it depends on the game or a remapping of keys. The only points I would deduct from this spectacular keyboard are the missing keys. First, yes I know - the point of a 60% keyboard is its compact nature... but the lack of easy access to a couple more keys is crucial to some of the PC games I play. I would have liked to retain easy single key access to the tilde, DEL, PgUp and PgDwn keys. If your games dont involve those keys - it shouldnt bother you at all. First, the quality of this keyboard is evident. The weight, the padded feet, the feel of the keys/switches and caps - all feel well constructed. The switches are quiet and responsive, the RGB lighting is easy to use and with many modes. I was impressed with the choices in connectivity - USB wired, bluetooth, and 2.4GHz wireless - all of which were simple and straightforward to enable. There is a simple switch to toggle between bluetooth and wireless modes - and the USB wireless dongle sits in its storage spot just under the keyboard (held in by a magnet). Also, the extra USB ports make it easy to attach other devices directly into the keyboard. RK uses its own proprietary switches, which I quite prefer over other proprietary switches like Romer-G. Battery life is quite suitable and easily recharged via USB. I am quite fond of the color scheme as well. The only nit-picky complaint I have is the quality of the USB cable, which is ok but not of the same quality feel of the keyboard. Overall, this is an outstanding keyboard for gaming and daily use.
