I decided to get a TKL keyboard for my setup since i already own a G915 tactical and a NK65 V2 aluminum. I wanted to get another mechanical so I decided to pre-order a tkl pro. This keyboard uses their titan optical key switches but they remind me of linear red switches. I have never used such a loud linear switch before. Part of the blame is the key travel seems crazy long but i also think the short keycaps cause my expectations to be similar to the low-profile g915 which it is not! I was able to mitigate the issue by using o-rings/dampeners on the keycaps giving me a nice shorter stroke and less noise if I bottom out, but this did not fix the thunk when the cap moves back upwards so it is still loud and i hope break-in fixes this somewhat. The keycaps are oil magnets btw and to me they feel flimsy, slippery, and cheap (abs). The keycap is relatively small and cuts out part of the normal bottom, but I am not sure if I like this design as they make pudding keycaps to give more lighting if that is what they are trying to do. The switches are mounted directly onto the keyboards top panel which is nice for cleaning. The media controls are also the f9-f12 keys, but you can semi-permanently switch them with fn+del (turns the del key white to show it is switched/active). There is also a dedicated mute button and volume control both of which I do not believe you can re-map. Overall Im not sure why the vulcan tkl pro is so expensive. I wish it came with a magnetic wrist rest for the price like their full-size version, but my wood glorious wrist rest (TKL size) fits perfect. I am not sure if i would purchase a roccat product again as I dont believe there is much value for the money and that is saying a lot as a g915 owner. Edit: i decided to throw on some pbs doubleshot alpherior keys i had laying around, and the difference is huge! no more slippery buttons! Id highly suggest getting new keycaps, all though i kept the original F9-F12 since they are also the media buttons and i also kept INS, HOME, PG-UP, PG-DOWN, DEL, END and the arrow keys and the ctrl key.

I tried this keyboard at Best Buy when I was there and fell in love with it. Talked myself into ordering it from here a few days later. Replacing my Razor 60%. I wanted to add the arrow keys and all that. It helps with some games and typing. I love how smooth the keys press and they’re not very loud.

After using the Corsair K70 / K95, RK, EpoMaker th80 I find this keyboard satisfactory if not for a a few quirks. I love the look of exposed RGB / switches I think it makes for a nice aesthetic to look at. I find the keys to be spaced out enough and I do enjoy typing and gaming on it so far. Some quirks I found that its a bit light for the price imo and there is a tinny sound when the keys hit the base. The more I type on it the more I notice the sound. I got the Titan linear and they are okay, not the most fun to type on but far from the worst. I find that the hollow noise is coming from the chassis as Im typing this and that might be a deal breaker as its very noticeable. I dont make alot of reviews so this is rare that I even bring this up. Just warning people who are going to spend around 80 bucks on a keyboard. The space bar and a zero sound room makes this thing sound like im there is a slot machine going off next to be, its like a bell sound when I type, does that make me a heavy typer?

Great keyboard for the price. I wanted something without a keypad and had great quality, I made the right choice. The keys are solid and the click noise is quite satisfying. Not a normal, yet annoying mechanical keyboard click (Annoying in my opinion.) The quality is unbeatable for the price point as well, you really cannot go wrong with this keyboard. Overall, outstanding keyboard and I love Roccat. I have the Magma membrane keyboard as well, great brand to purchase from.

Roccat has sent a replacement! Hopefully this one last for years as its a great keyboard when it worked. 3 months out of my 1st one. Other than that no complaints.

I have lots of mechanical keyboards and was interested in this one because of the optical switches. I was surprised that the keyboard had such a nice feel since it had ABS keycaps. I do really like the minimal keycap design in general, and I imagine it would be even better with PBS. Some of the lighting partially died within the first couple of weeks, so there might be some manufacturing issues. The lighting requires the software to be running, so unfortunately you cant save lighting setting to the keyboard (this is sadly true of even the most expensive mechanical RGB keyboards though so I wont fault them for it).

I actually switched out my Corsair Rapidfire MK2 for this keyboard. It feels incredibly premium, about 1/3 the size of my old KB and I couldnt be happier with my decision. The Swarm software has a little bit to go for customization of the lighting like adding layers for more advanced designs but the KB itself is top notch. If anyone knows what a custom kb sounds like, this is very very damn close to that with a similar feel. Best kb ive used in the last decade.
