Greater than one weekMy son is using this more as a midi controller for iPad than for Rock Band. It works fine for both! Only drawback Id the lack of an octave shift function, but there may be one hidden yet - hell find it if there is. It seems to be built comparable to some of the lower-priced Akai or Alesis controllers.

> 3 dayI dont use this for Rock Band but rather use it as a very inexpensive MIDI controller for my portable MIDI-enabled equipment. Ive been moving away from computers lately and back to hardware instruments. I recently purchased a Korg Volca Keys and while playing it with the ribbon keyboard is fun, Im much more dextrous on a keyboard. I wanted something that was battery powered and had the standard 5 pin DIN MIDI port as well. Having seen reviews for this controller on various synth forums I purchased this and it works great. The keys play well though the layout of some of the controls arent always easy to get to. You can use the ribbon controller for pitch bend but you have to hold down a button on the side of the ribbon to activate it, which seems counter-intuitive. Perhaps the button helps to extend battery life but I find it awkward to use. Given the price, its still a phenomenal bargain.

Greater than one weekA Proud owner of a couple of those Keytars or Keyboards, they are lovely. First, Keys Size and Feel are perfect, performance and response in co-ordination with the Wii or Wii U console is flawless. Weight and handling is easy and simple. Price wise, you can’t beat that, a normal hand held Keytar will cost at least a couple of hundred dollars and more for the ones that actually play music rather than being just a Midi Interface. You can’t go wrong with the Wireless Keyboard and Rock Band3 to play real music and enjoy it. You do need to build your skills from Easy Difficulty to harder levels. Enjoy !

> 3 dayI wanted a keytar for my 80s cover band but only add keys on a few songs, so no way to justify the expensive ones. Found this recommended online. Keys are full size with good feel! Mod/pitch strip is very granular, only useful for sound FX. I run soft synths via wired midi out from this, and it works well! If desired one can use the octave up/down and program change buttons too. Yes its kinda small, but people love it! Took it apart, painted top red, modified touch bar to default to pitch bend.

> 3 dayLike the title says, this definitely freshens up the genre. After having this keyboard for awhile now I have to say its definitely worth it. It definitely takes getting used to if your a previous keyboard/piano player because of the way the notes are displayed. The notes scroll down the highway in the same fashion they do with the other instruments, so if youre accustomed to sheet music this will be a bit off-putting. However I play piano myself and after some time of playing through this I have gotten used to the notes and am playing on pro keys quite easily. I find myself almost being lost in the music much as I did on the guitar and drums. It becomes so much fun at points you forget its a game and get that feeling of actually playing the music. Now all I need is the new pro guitar and ill be set. I definitely recommend this keyboard for a bit more of variety to the Rock Band formula, just know that if you already play piano it can take some time to get used to.

> 3 dayThe keyboard is tons of fun!!! Its a new challenge to add to the normal rock band instruments. The best part is all the new songs you can play now, where before you couldnt because there wasnt an instrument to accompany it. Both us as the parents and our kids love playing the keyboard...well worth the money!

> 3 dayDescription does not say you need a dongle to play it on Wii. Was not included with purchase although the controller is advertised as compatible for Wii.
