Overall I like these rollerblades, however I liked my old [early 1990s] Rollerblade Lightning rollerblades better... because they had more ankle support, were more comfortable, and the buckle worked much better. With these Zetrablade rollerblades I have to spend a long time trying to get the top buckle to push in the slot so I can tighten the top of the rollerblades tight around my leg for full support; I think the buckle is thinner plastic than on the Lightning model, and the buckle on the Zetrablade fits into the slot and goes behind the plastic of the outer boot, whereas on the Lightning rollerblades the bucket fits into the slot and stays on the outside of the boot plastic so you dont have to fight to push it through the slot; When you push the Zetrablade buckle through the slot, because the plastic is thinner it bends instead of goes into the slot. When I am finally able to get the top buckle tight enough then it hurts my leg because the padding isnt as comfortable as on my old Rollerblade Lightning rollerblades [those were really comfortable]. I also seemed to have more stability with my old Lightning rollerblades, something to do with the wheel size [the wheels are shorter on the Lightning model] and perhaps the wheels are in a different location on the Zetrablade rollerblades making them feel in the wrong position, not giving me as much stability as I had with the Lightning model. I wish theyd make the Lightning model again; Id buy those instead. Overall I am happy with the Zetrablade because they look nice and have a nice low price [as the Lightning model]. I took really good care of my Lightning rollerblades, they were almost new looking, but because I bought them in the early 1990s [over 25 years old] the plastic must have gotten brittle because when I tightened the upper buckle the boot plastic broke from the stress of the buckle pulling tight; I threw them away; I loved those Rollerblade Lightning rollerblades; I like the Zetrablades.

I cant tell the difference to size up or size down but Im usually a size 10 1/2 or 11. Got these in a 11 and was pretty good for most part. Caused a lot of under foot pain tho so I would only be able to skate for 3 minutes and then would have to take a break.

FYI, I am not a beginner and I never stopped Rollerblading. I had some late 90s Rollerblade Fusion MX skates that started crack along the frame and wanted to get a quick cheap replacement to allow me to keep skating, but give me time to do research before purchasing a more expensive skate. I also wanted to see what the more entry level kind of skates had to offer these days before upgrading. My skating style is recreational trail and urban. I mainly go just to burn calories and be outdoors. Some background on my old skates. The Fusion MX was a top of the line recreational skate back in the day with a super solid full shell, and 3 heavy duty ratcheting buckles. No laces! They are heavy and only accept up to 80mm wheels I believe. Big, clunky, and slow, but SUPER secure! and heavily padded. I got the Fusions second hand in the early 2000s as new skates from my dad who never used them. The Fusions replaced my original Rollerblade Lightnings and were a huge upgrade. These new Zetrablade skates are almost the opposite. Very light, one buckle with laces, but still small wheels I was apprehensive, but once I tried them out AND figure out how to tighten them correctly they did the job! They were comfortable, more secure than I thought they would be, and faster. These skate worked great for the price! However, I still preferred my clunky old skates, because even though these were more secure than I thought they would be, they couldnt hold a candle to my Fusion MXs. Since wearing these skates I have fallen twice, hurting myself in one of the falls. I had to go back to wearing pads and a helmet. I was not wearing them because I had not fallen in 15 years in my Fusions! These skates also feel less maneuverable, they may have more space between the wheels (I have not compared yet) making them harder to turn, and the less support may make them harder to turn as well. While not perfect, these types of skates allowed me to figure out that I probably should be in the Twister XT for my style of skating and I will upgrade to those by next summer. If you are a beginner I would highly recommend these! The price is awesome! As I write this they are even one third off of the MSRP, which would make them even less expensive than the Rollerblade Lightnings were in the mid nineties (another entry level skate). Even the MSRP has to be less expensive if you adjust for inflation (woof, left next get started on that subject). As for the Twister XT, yes I will be upgrading to those, but you may find that you want more of a speed skate instead after trying these out. If you have never tried skating, or are coming back after a long hiatus, I highly recommend these. NOTE: I highly recommend any new skate over old 1990 skates as the plastic gets brittle over time and can crack or break causing a bad crash, I was lucky and the crack in my skates did not cause them to fall apart while skating.

My son loves them. He wears them all over campus (college) and says they are very comfortable and good quality for what he needs. He also likes the way they look. Simple. Masculine and they have the upper support he needs.

Very good for beginners and general recreational skating. The quality of the construction is good for the price, and the boot is comfortable to wear for several hours. I would not recommend this boot for anyone who maybe tempted to do any kind of aggressive skating. The boot and chassis arent designed for it and judging by their construction I doubt they would take the beating.

I had not been roller blading in years, and both my fiancé and I went with this option. Obviously I am not up to date on the latest with in-line skating, but these are an excellent choice for occasional use on a rink. To be fair, I have not tried outdoors on pavement/sidewalk, but in my experience, they broke in after 2-3 sessions and allow for up to 4-5 hrs of comfortable skating now.

I have been skating since the mid 80s and remember when Rollerblades hit the market in in the late 80s. I saved my money back then to buy this exact model of skate and after I did, I literally put thousands of miles on them and went through several sets of wheels, but the skates never let me down. They are still the same, right out of the box, Rollerblade brand is just the best, I have tried many knock-off versions of in-line skates and they have all been junk with a decent price point. These are the right skates for you, especially if you are a beginning or coming back to it after a long break, there is just enough ankle support to help you out, without feeling like a ski-boot.

120 miles skating in 1.5month review. fastest I was able to go on somewhat flat land was 18.7mph. I have rotated my wheels as the picture shows. The wheels have lasted fairly well unlike other reviews mentioned that they were poor quality and would fall apart(I have taken them through various terrains but mostly rough and smooth asphalt with alot of bumps). I think the wheels have a life span of about 180-200miles when rotated, according to my use. I am 6.2 (15.748 cm) tall and weigh in around 225lbs the wheels and skates have been fine. I also ordered protective pads and a helmet (size large) and they have worked great. Besmall Kids Protective Gear Set,Roller Skating Skateboard BMX Bike Cycling Sports Protective Gear Pads for Youth Boys Girls(Adjustable Helmet+Knee Pads+Elbow Pads+Wrist Pads) Black L I am US 14 in shoe size and ordered a size 31cm (13), should have ordered a size 30cm aka US12 in skates for this brand. Ive fallen about 20 times and the skates have held up pretty good to regular scrapping and abuse. Normally ride intervals have been 3.5 miles to 25miles. Skates initially felt a little uncomfortable till I broke them in. Great skates for a beginner or someone trying to learn how to skate again. side note. wheels in very smooth asphalt are very prone to being extremely slippery vs on the road asphalt with the slightest of moisture. I also decided to remove the brakes on the right rear skate as for me there are easier/more effective ways to stop.

These are oft boots so I know balance will develop with time. Skating is not like riding a bike, but these seem to be perfect for getting into the swing of things. I tied them and latched them tightly without feeling pinched and my first time back out was great. I will update if anything worsens.

Zetrablade is a recreational skate for men. Featuring unbeatable support, comfort and stability at a value price point, learning to skate just got easier. The secure closure system combined with a monocoque frame lowers the center of gravity, providing better balance. 80mm Performance wheels/SG5 bearings can be upgraded to a higher-performance wheel as skater proficiency increases. For casual skaters looking at an entry-level skate, Zetrablade is a smart choice.
