I purchased this for my 3-prong machine I store offsite. I feel a sense of security having this in place.

As a physician that cares for young children, I was asked to review this product. I purchased one to give honest feedback. It’s simple and easy to use. It’s nearly impossible to dislodge the safety device without the key, AKA Kid Proof. At first I wondered why this versus simple plastic receptacle covers. Then I thought back to playing with drills and other power tools as a child, not to mention the unsanctioned haircut I once received by an older sibling. In short, I recommend this safety device to prevent accidents with potentially dangerous electric devices.

Moody preteen proof. I highly recommend. I bought this after my daughter decided to stay up all night watching TV on a school night. This put a stop to that.

I wish I had this product when my four kids were babies to help keep them safe. I have however found another use for them. I use mine on the kids playstation so they arent able to play video games until there homework is done and all the chores are done in the house. I highly recommend to parents with kids of any age.

I bought it to secure a power saw that lacks its own lock from unauthorized use. This was great for a few months, but now the device is giving me trouble trying to inserting the plug. The plug prongs hit a stop before going fully in, every time. Then, I have to fiddle with the key for a full minute or more before I apparently find some sweet spot in its innards and I can insert the prongs and turn the lock.

I am a grandparent of 3 grandkids, two teenagers and a 7 month old granddaughter. I wanted a product for my home that would ensure my newest grandchild would be safe always. I found these locks and am so grateful for them, I bought 4. I told my son and daughter in law and they will be purchasing many also. All parents and grandparents should have these in their homes to keep their children and grandchildren safe. I am ever so grateful to have found these products…BUY THEM NOW..you won’t be disappointed.

Great product for specific items you want to lock down! It works great and is easy to use. Love that it comes with a couple of keys. Will definitely be needing more!

I needed to do a bit of baby proofing of my apartment when I had me Brother, sister-in-law, and nephews over for a week. I run a space heater in the winter to keep the rooms survivable. My elder nephew is… let’s say… very inquisitive. He loves to explore and I was warned in advance that I’d need to apply a few protective mechanisms. This one is a life saver. Space heaters are not kid friendly. Glowing lights, fun dials to twist, and it can create a radiator hot enough to severely burn a kid. I can run it when there’s supervision to take away the chill, but when the kids are up and about I need that thing secured. I got two and they both work wonders. I leave the keys in a little jar on the shelf above where I store the heaters. Kids can’t reach, very simple for the adults to grab and unlock. I’m an RN and spent the better part of my career so far on a rehab ward. I’ve seen enough entirely-avoidable injuries ruin people’s lives. The extra step it takes to put away my space heater is worth it for the peace of mind that my nephews aren’t going to burn their hands. Anyway, get this brand. I don’t know what other ones look or feel like, but this one is solid. Built well, and just plain works. No rolling the dice for me. When I get kids of my own I’ll probably get a bunch more just to have around for when they find new things to make dangerous.

I bought this for a three-pronged plug, and it does exactly what its supposed to do: it locks down the plug so it cant be used. The third prong slips easily over the outside of the lock, so theres no problem there. Turning the lock with the provided keys isnt as smooth as, say, turning a door lock, but it does work and I have no complaints. It looks as if this lock has a simple design, so I dont anticipate any problems with durability.

I had a roommate who was using my gaming system and magic bullet to make margaritas for his parties etc. without asking first. He wouldnt clean up after himself or leave items as they were. This product is also great for parents who are worried about their young childrens safety around electronic and power tools. The product also includes a tag so that you can write which appliance the keys and lock are being used for in case you forget. 10/10 would recommend!
