Roxio Easy CD & DVD Burning 2 | Disc Burner & Video Capture [PC Disc]

After down loading the software and taking a look at the choices you have to pick from it was easy to use the program.

Warning! Please stay away from Coral Roxio. This is their third software Ive tried recently , none of their products are properly updated (re- programmed ) to work with modern updated operating software. Old programming software that they invest very little to correct to make compatible with new operating systems and software. After installing this software, I noticed all other unrelated software on my computer running slow and hanging up. This happened too when I tried there PaintShop and Roxio Creator 9. Their software is not fully compatible with Windows updated operating systems. After a few window updates youll lose many functions of their software and they never offer patches or updates either, a sham. Its like a money grab to live off of Old programming versions, technology and name, not willing to invest to redo their software properly. Roxio used to be wonderful many many years ago, its not the same company today as it was years past. They do very little to properly upgrade their software and give you patches and updates so they work along with Windows updates and other driver updates. They never offer updates and fixes. Several of their products Ive tried are simply lemons and they should be pulled from the market.

This software no good is not working that all. Can I return the item please.Thanks Amazon.

I have tried my daughters videos she made on her tablet to make room, and she could watch on her dvd player. HOWEVER, I have tried with a cheap single layer dvd, single layer Amazon Basics dvd, and a Ridata EXPENSIVE DL dvd media, on 3 different drives, a Sony and Cheap dvd burners, and my expensive LG Blu-ray burner with the same results will ALL media and burners, and that is at the very end of burning a disc, it pops up and error saying an unexplained error caused a burning problem, doe not show any error code(s) to look up, and I have wasted 10 discs trying to find ANYTHING that will make it work correctly. I REGRET I did not look at the comments at first, but seeing it had 4/5 stars. DO NOT BE A FOOL LIKE ME, and may others and give this company $20 for crap that is useless at all if making dvds is your thing. I have yet to try anything else with it for I mainly bought it to make videos for my daughter, and friends/family. YOU SUCK ROXIO, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED!?!?!?!?! ****************EDIT!!*************** I changed it from 1 star to 4 stars due to figuring out what causes it not to burn, and it is so easy I cannot believe I did not figure this out sooner! All you got to do is change it from hardware encode to SOFTWARE decode, and wouldnt you know it, it will burn :O I have Nero Platinum and this, and this is actually 3 times faster start to finish then it. Nero decided to go to a yearly/monthly to use their product, not with this. Only real reason I was looking for something to replace my Nero, was I redid my PC, and installed it again, only to get a box pop up telling me I have met the limit to how many computers its allowed to be installed on, and I will not buy it in a yearly/monthly billing, that is TOTAL BS Nero! It would of finally gotten 5 stars if it had directions, and needing to learn the curve on how to make a disc with menu, my own screen shot background, and music. Now that I know how, and it will actually burn a disc and not coasters, I will recommend it, if needing to just make some quick simple DVD home movies. I have yet to try the other features, but this is what I bought it for, and it now works.

Despite being the year 2022, I have a bunch of audio CDs that I wanted a copy of because our car and old cheap CD players damage/scratch them up. I like to use free software when possible but everything else I could find was too sketchy. Now I could do it for free with Windows Media Player but it requires one to rip the disc, convert it to some compressed format like MP3 and then burn it again. It takes a long time, uses your effort/attention, fills space on your PC, and for audio CDs, you lose quality. It is very user friendly and easy to use Roxio to do this and it only takes 10 min per disc. On the Roxio website, it costs about 50% more than the Amazon price. I was up and running in minutes. Thanks a lot Amazon and Roxio!

Works perfect for my DVD/CD burning needs.

I bought this because I have Roxio on my old laptop and loved it - I had Nero on my old laptop, as well, but half the time, the burn would fail. Never had that problem with Roxio. The new laptop only came with Windows Media Player, so I bought this program based on my past experience with it, and it still works great. Had no issues setting it up in my new laptop and have already burned many discs with no errors, and also ripped many of my CDs. The best part is, now it also puts the album and song titles up automatically when you rip the disc, which it didnt in my old laptop, which saves me a lot of work having to manually hand key all the song titles, artist, etc. I havent actually tried it for burning DVDs yet, as my old external DVD drive wont burn DVDs anymore for some reason. If I get a new one eventually, Ill have to try that out, but I mainly got it for CDs, anyway.

After installing the disc on my pc there were no directions telling me to go to their website to finish it. Pretty easy to use and I am pleased with my purchase. I would recommend this product to others.

Not as intuitive as I would like, the program does provide many options for file conversions. I only used it for CD conversions to WAV and MP3 files, not at all for DVD conversions. Other than some titles being displayed in Japanese it does a good job. Unfortunately I am illiterate in Japanese.

Ive been able to accomplish only about half of what I should be able to do with this software. While Im no technical expert, usually I can figure out ways to get the job done. perhaps the software works but I cant figure out how to confirm this. And Ive tried about 12 times with some success, just not complete success. The thing is, the features I most needed are the ones that dont work. At all. I have had to revert back to using another cheaper product to get my video recording and converting done. its ended up taking extra time. A suggestion for the developer of this product is to update the instructions and interface to ensure the user can get the intended use and value of their purchase.
