I needed to hook up my smart tv into modem instead of wireless and this worked perfectly.

Hard-line as it stands is superior to wireless internet. this cable can run all the way from my modem/router through my attic to my computer and provides unparalleled speed for price. at 54 dollars it provides way faster speeds than every network card anywhere near this price range. I swapped from 5e at 54 mbps download to this cat 8 with 314mbps download which is more than my 300mbps plan even covers. Strong recommend, only downside is installing the hardlines can be difficult.

This is a good quality cable with excellent connectors. Cant speak to the durability because I just started using it, but it looks and feels like it will last forever...

I ran ethernet cable throughout the house when I built it, but I am so bad at attaching the plugs on the ends of the wire I never finished the plug-ends of the installation. I finally ran a 100 prefinished cable from my loft down to the basement, but it was too short to make it to the router/modem. My son just ran a cable through the hallway and was getting way better speed than I had on wi-fi, so I finally saw this product, clipped it on to the end of the existing cable in the basement, and then to the back of the router, and shazam, my speed increased 4x and page loads were almost instantaneous. For the price it was a great buy.

The ability to reach a distant modem is greatly enhanced with this extension cable.
