I used the cable to connect a laptop that I placed too far from the cable plugged into the wall outlet. The internet speeds I observed were the same before and after the extender cable was used. I ordered a longer cable that came latter, one that would allow me to connect directly to my modem, but see no need for it as the extender works as well as possible.

This cable was high quality, easy out if the package, and easy to hook up.

My use was not for internet. I wanted to extend the cord on a two-way radio RJ-45 microphone. This cable created a lot of hum. I did however find another cable that worked okay. This cable was probably just the wrong cable for my application. Otherwise it is probably a fine internet cable.
