RV Water Heater Anode Rod

> 3 dayWe bought our Rockwood RV a year and a half ago brand new. We havent had any problems with it its one of those things that you kind of just overlooked because the thing is new and weve had good luck with it. I did start thinking about some preventative maintenance and I pulled our anode rod out and it was highly corroded and almost half gone in just a year and a half. About a 3-in section down by the threaded plug was completely missing all the way down to the rod. We have high calcium water here and it took quite a bit of flushing to get the tank cleaned out but Im glad I changed this rod.

> 3 dayCan you believe the old one versus the new one!? I cleaned my RVs hot water tank the best I could - and the new annode fit perfectly. BTW - I rotated it counter clockwise a little bit before going clock wise to tighten by hand - you do not want to mess up your threads!

> 3 dayLike all other anode rods, it lasts for a season and needs to be replaced. This is not bad, it is just a fact of life.

Greater than one weekThese Anode rods are designed to eventually wear and be replaced by protecting your RV water heater tank from corrosion and contaminants. This particular design and manufacturer are producing effective and well-made rods than fit without any issues in those tanks. The price is extremely reasonable with the only issue being that they are shipped from China, so delivery may be slower than other items on Amazon. Perfectly happy with these rods and will purchase again when its time. Five Stars for us as a rating and an honest and hearty recommendation! *If you found my review helpful to you, please let Amazon know by clicking the HELPFUL button below!

> 3 dayBought it for the magnesium, for use as a fire staring aid. Scraping shavings off, works great. Cheap source for this camping and bushcraft staple.
