> 3 dayGot this Sabrent Rocket Q4 NVMe becuz it was on sale for the 2TB for $239.99 and it tested out in my benchmark higher than my Samsung 980 Pro NVMe, surprised it even scored better than my SK Hybix Gold P31 NVMe (great NVMe overlooked by most). Been using it as a program drive to hold all my software and games; keeping the primary drive (windows OS Drive) clean and running as fast as possible. When it comes time to replace primary drive (windows OS Drive), defiantly will be looking for a sale on the Sabrent Rocket Q4 NVMe. Normally I would wait one or two year before making any reviews on HHDs or SSDs but this NVMe is turning out to be the best I have tried so far.

> 3 dayIm using this drive for large music sample libraries for music production. At 5000MB/s its faster than Gen 2 at 3500MB/s but not as fast as the Gen 4 version at 7000MB/s. I believe it was a good compromise of price vs performance sitting in the middle of the two. I have several other drives with large sample libraries. A couple of SATA SSDs, a 970 EVO M.2 @ 3500MB/s, and I really notice the difference with this drive over the 970. Sabrent wasnt on my radar until they came out with Gen 4 M.2 that was faster than Samsung. Providing it lasts for a while, Ill be very happy.

> 3 daySpeed, value and reliability were the reasons I purchased this drive with the heat sink and I have been very happy with the performance of this SSD. I am not using it on a gaming PC but based on the specs and the fact its a Gen4 PCI SSD Im sure it will serve a gamer well.

21-11-2024The only part of the installation that was questionable to me was whether I needed standoffs, I didnt, but it wasnt quickly apparent to me as my motherboard NVME port lifts the connection end up off the motherboard and the screw end is down to the motherboard so it is not level. On boot up, I went into the BIOS and saw the drive was recognized and after downloading the free Acronis cloning software the process was smooth and without incident. I was so amazed on my first reboot with this drive that I quickly went to check my drive C in explorer because my desktop and apps were as if it was still booting off my old drive. Seemless! Highly recommend upgrading with this product.

Greater than one weekSeems to work fine. Tests at about 4500MB/sec but speed drops off very significantly with smaller and smaller files. In fact below about 1MB file size is almost the same speed as PCI-e 3 devices. In real world use with Windows File Explorer the device operates at about 20% faster speed than the Sabrent PCI-e 3 devices. Probably not really worth the increased cost.

> 3 dayI havent been using this for any significant amount of time, but I know some people who have, and they too appreciate Sabrents M.2s. I had no issues in setting up and formatting the drive, and speeds appear to be as stated. I use it for games, and its even faster than my other M.2 drive, which it should be, so thats good. Without benchmarking it, Im quite happy with it. For people new to M.2s, just make sure to read the directions and, before you buy anything, make sure all the specs match up with your motherboards specs. Do keep in mind that all drives measure their storage space more like metric and less like base 2. Thats computer science talk for It will show as less on your PC than what it says on the page. This is perfectly normal, its not missing, its not defective. For example, this one will read as approximately 1.81 TB, and this is as expected and correct.
