This drive was on sale for sub-150 dollars, making it the best value PCIe Gen 4 SSD when I bought it for either a next gen console when the PS5 supports it, or a gaming PC. I bought this to use with Nvidias direct storage technology that will be present in games in the future, and they benefit from PCIe Gen 4 SSDs. Like I said in the title, I received the 2TB drive by mistake from the warehouse, and the performance has been very incredibly solid for being a QLC SSD.

Great value and capacity for those that need it for the ever growing size of games in 2020 and beyond. This replaced my Samsung 970 EVO 2TB, which was nearly full. Now I don’t have to uninstall a game or two for new games coming later this year. I half expect Cyberpunk 2077 to be close to 200GBs. It’s TBW will not be reached if you’re using this for gaming. By the time this drive has any failures, there will be cheaper and newer technologies on the market. Make sure to pair it with PCI-E gen4 to get the full speed of the drive.

The only part of the installation that was questionable to me was whether I needed standoffs, I didnt, but it wasnt quickly apparent to me as my motherboard NVME port lifts the connection end up off the motherboard and the screw end is down to the motherboard so it is not level. On boot up, I went into the BIOS and saw the drive was recognized and after downloading the free Acronis cloning software the process was smooth and without incident. I was so amazed on my first reboot with this drive that I quickly went to check my drive C in explorer because my desktop and apps were as if it was still booting off my old drive. Seemless! Highly recommend upgrading with this product.

Got it on time, inserted it, copied data on it and it worked flawlessly. Weird was: After copying all data on it (had to do it twice which ammounted to around 6T of data writes) the CrystalDiskInfo tool claimed that the health status is 96% - which would indicate a quite drastic decline? Even more puzzling is that the tool claims that the drive was powered on 1677 times. This would mean that I would have turned the drive off and on every 10 minutes since I got it. That totally makes no sense. The packaging was intact (there were all the usual stickers on the wrapper and the wrapper was undamaged. Really odd. A piece of advice: The drive comes with a thin metal/thermal sticker. That in itself might however not be enough. Monitor the temperature at the beginning of your use (e.g. with CrystalDiskInfo). If you start off with 55C and reach even quickly over 60C you are in trouble. Consider adding some thermal pad & cooler which will immediately reduce the temperature by 15-20C and your device will thank you later for it!

Advertised as 4.9GB/s Read and 3.5GB/s Write. This thing achieves almost 6GB/s read without cooling... just stop reading and add to cart.

5033 read and 3580 write seriously what a steal.

I used Samsung NVME before but this is my first Sabrent for my new Lenovo T15G. Works fine and installation is a breeze.

This has been a great company to deal with and they stand behind their products. I had an issue with a Dell mobile precision 7750 and BSOD failures during SupportAssist diagnostics, but I was able to figure out a solution. It turns out that the RAID mode on the Dell Mobile Precision computers does not support 2TB SSDs, as confirmed by Dell. I was not able to determine if it is a hardware or driver issue. Everything started working reliably by going into the BIOS and switching from RAID to AHCI mode. You will need to reboot windows into safe mode to allow the drivers to reconfigure if the OS is installed. I verified this with all my SSD cards and the 2 Dell notebooks I have.

The heatsink was too big to use so it was not useful...so I hope it doesnt allow my system to over heat.....
