Ive had no issues with this product. Easily installed. Price is fantastic compared to what SSDs used to cost.

This is my second drive of the same kind and I am very happy with this product. The first one is used on a Windows Server, whereas the second one is used on my linux server. Both of them recognized the device and works very well with. For the price and the performance, I think this is a no-brainder.

What I wanted for additional drive. Good price, swift delivery.

moved all my steam games to this ssd. so far so good.

A quick few sentences on SSDs first... Im happy that the price point for SSD storage is on the decline. True, cost per GB is still higher than traditional mechanical drives BUT that can be a misleading metric. The SSD will last longer than a mechanical drive, so I look at the cost/GB by amortizing it over the expected life of the drive. That view tells me that sure, the upfront cost is a bit higher BUT the drive is going to last much longer, so I can expect to keep it for quite some time rather than replace a failing mechanical drive a few years down the road. With the way I use drives like this (media streaming, etc) I typically replace a mechanical drive every two-three years. This one is going to last much longer than that, so in the mid-term its probably the best choice. Indeed, with storage capacity of SSDs like this in the multi-TB range, its become probably the best choice for my use. Ive been using this drive both as an internal drive for my Alienware as well as an external media-storage drive. To be sure, internal is going to provide the fastest speed, and indeed with graphics-heavy games I had zero lag. Zero. Load time was noticeably faster than with the mechanical drive. BUT, I also used an enclosure (my Inateck USB-C enclosure) to work this as storage for a media server. First, Ill suggest that if you go the external drive route, using USB-C is going to maximize the data transfer you get using this method, and something I seriously suggest the user do. A minor consideration was that my MacBook Pro has all USB-C anyway, so it all worked out. Anyway, streaming was very fast, even given the bottlenecks in my system (the MacBook Pro uses Homeshare to stream to my AppleTV via WiFi, for instance). For both systems, installation was easy. Took maybe ten minutes, and thats including physical installation. This all said, its not like SSDs are 100% perfect. IF the drive fails, data recovery can range from a giant-pain-in-the-rump to basically impossible. Ways to minimize failure though are pretty intuitive...basically, dont abuse the drive and watch the temperature. On the other hand, data security on an SSD is more of a given I think, so theres that. My main takeaway from all of this is that the SSD in general and this SSD in particular is a more-than-reasonable replacement for a mechanical drive. Speed is fast, its reliable, and its going to survive more-than-occasional use over a long period of time. A very good drive.

Super easy to install. It got recognized right away and was super easy to merge with my original 128mb ssd. Now I have one large C: drive.
