> 24 hourI bought the 2TB 980 PRO for my new PC build (specs below). It is used for gaming and video/photo editing programs. It is ultra-fast when playing games and generating content. However, it does not reach its advertised speed of 7000 MB/s. My SSD was reaching between 6700-6800 MB/s.

> 24 hourIve always had good results with Samsung SSDs, so when it came time to build a new AM5 system, they were the obvious choice. I did my homework first though. My system is fairly high end with a 7900X processor, a ROG Crosshair Hero motherboard, 64GB of G.Skill ram. Wanted to go with the 990 Pro series NVMe, but building a custom water cooled loop and all the other hardware had already cost a lot, so decided to go with the 980 pro instead, as the new Gen5 stuff is said to be coming out real soon now.

> 24 hourWeve had the pleasure of using the SAMSUNG 980 PRO SSD 2TB PCIe NVMe, and were impressed with its fast performance. As a swap drive for video editing and temporary folder for numerous files, this drive has exceeded our expectations, enabling us to work more efficiently. Were grateful for the improved workflow and productivity it has brought us, and we believe its an excellent choice for anyone seeking a reliable and high-performance NVMe.

> 24 hourI didnt realize HOW much faster gen-4 was. This drive flies. I had a 970 (*gen 3) and then upgraded when these dropped in price. Im glad I decided to pull the trigger on an upgrade!

> 24 hour6500 read speed, 1000 faster than internal ssd read speed. You know what I had to do. I put 20 games on this bad boy and its trucking right along no problems no crashes, did had to rebuild the database after a few weeks, dont know what thats all about. Anyway, I really like this 2tb SSD , Im a Samsung fan and it forced me to clean out all the cat hair and dust in my ps5 its like new!

> 24 hourI completely slipped up purchasing a NUC with a HDD for a drive a couple of yrs ago (instead of a machine with a SSD). Had been meaning to upgrade for some time now and had been on the fence about the expense vs the how much faster will my computer be? thing. Also, I am not computer savvy, so, I also was procrastinating b/c I didnt want to mess with my computers internals.
