> 3 dayClone of my old drive took a over an hors, but only because it was over a slow USB port. My 8th Gen Core-I7 machine used to take 45-60 seconds to boot. I now have a login screen in under 10 seconds from a cold boot.

> 3 dayI watched a few YT videos on installing this and it was a breeze. I kept this on my wish list until the 2TB version dropped to $149.95 and with a gift card I snagged it at a killer price.

> 3 dayBought two 500GB drives for storage of programs, games, videos, pictures, and documents. For the price and the Samsung name, you cant go wrong. There are other brands out there that are just as fast, have more total TBW, and are just as good. So whatever you choose, you are going to get some blazing fast drives.

> 3 dayDid a bit of research on which SSD was a good fit for me in order to upgrade the memory in my PS5. This met all the needs was super easy to install and transfers info back and forth with the systems memory very quickly.

Greater than one weekTook 5 minutes to install. I researched a ton of internal ssd options for my PS5 and I decided on this Samsung 980 pro with heatsink. I am not disappointed!

> 3 dayFirst off its not as fast as the Hynix P41 so if theyre at a similar price Id get that one. I have both in my system. That said its likely faster than you will ever need. While in theory the fast transfer speeds as outlined in CrystalDisk, for photo and 4K video editing Ive never really gone past a few hundred MB/s so its all overkill. Im mainly using this drive for paging files and cache and eventually to store video projects Im actively working on before I move them back to HDDs for storage.

Greater than one weekIve always had good results with Samsung SSDs, so when it came time to build a new AM5 system, they were the obvious choice. I did my homework first though. My system is fairly high end with a 7900X processor, a ROG Crosshair Hero motherboard, 64GB of G.Skill ram. Wanted to go with the 990 Pro series NVMe, but building a custom water cooled loop and all the other hardware had already cost a lot, so decided to go with the 980 pro instead, as the new Gen5 stuff is said to be coming out real soon now.
