Greater than one weekI gave this tablet a 5-star rating because it works as advertised. I knew what kind of tablet I wanted and this certainly fits the bill. I wanted a simple tablet for surfing the internet; reading the news; keeping notes and my calendar. It is also good for social media video chatting on Google Duo or Facebook Messenger or Zoom Etc. The 8-inch screen is perfect for me. Much easier than using my cell phone. And easier to carry around than a larger tablet. This is not the tablet to do a lot of advanced or professional graphics. The battery life definitely is good; the touch screen works very well; and if you are Android phone user this will seem like an old friend. The speaker work OK but not really loud. Get a small Bluetooth speaker or earbuds if you want to listen to music. Make sure to get yourself a nice case to protect it and to provide you with a better grip. I suggest the Moko lightweight case which is under $10. The Amazon Fire HD tablet is nice as well but I wanted the full Android flexibity. So overall, this is a great entry level tablet for general use. The price was fantastic. And on the second day, it upgraded to Android 10. I recommend this tablet.

Greater than one weekIf you have owned an Galaxy S2 Tab you will not like this product. It has a several second delay when you try to do anything - yes, the screen is vibrant, and it was a very good price, but for me, it is so inferior to the S2 that I find it unusuable.

> 3 dayI havent had this tablet very long. I like the silver and white color. It isnt the most responsive or fast. I have the previous tab a and thought I would upgrade. It really isnt an improvement but still a decent tablet. My issue is the smart case which I purchased for this tablet. It says its a smart case which it probably is but the tablet does not respond. Evidently it never will as the tablet doesnt have a sensor for that. So why make a smart case when the tablet cannot use it? Otherwise at this point its just ok. I have both sizes of iPads and both sizes of Kindle fires. They are all better tablets but I really like my Google play books and music. The 10 inch tab A is much better also.

> 3 dayOverall this is a good tablet. The battery runs down too fast. The touch screen is too sensitive. What gives it 2 stars is the fact that after I purchased and installed an SD card I found out that Samsung took away the ability to put your apps on the SD card. My device is running out of space and I have an SD card thats empty. This is beyond disgraceful!. This is the last time I purchase anything from Samsung.

> 3 dayI have loved every the Galaxy phone Ive had and thought Id replace my dependable but slow Kindle with a Tab A. It wasnt much quicker than the Kindle ... and then it became a brick, in less than a year. It suddenly wouldnt turn on ... no dropping, no rough handling. Ive repeatedly tried every suggestion seen online. Guessing its the screen which would cost more to replace than buying another one. Which I wont do. Time to check another brand I guess.

> 3 dayActually,my wife & I have the same two tablets. Both are the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8 tablets. Also both tablets are good performers. Hers is silver, mine happens to be black. These Samsung tablets have bright, clear looking screens. The interface is laid out pretty good, simplicity comes to mind. Easy to use. 32 gb is the internal storage /w just enough room for more space. Lets see, one may even put a SD card in for additional external storage. ( Up to 128gb). These tablets are Energy Efficient rated. The battery on these tabs are great. The cameras on these are good. Not great though. We both use are tablets to replace our aging 2&1 laptops. And often to give our smartphones ,( a break). My tablet cost around $ 145.00 plus tax. Hers was a little bit more. However these Wi-Fi tablets are well worth the price. They perform really well.

> 3 dayI have owned 2 HD 8s, both of which you could say were good......for a cheap tablet. Yet they both had trouble mounting the SD card at time, were very slow. Eventually I got fed up and bought a Samsung.
