Bought it for my mother and she loves it. She plays her bingo and pay her bills with it.

Not as fast or accurate as my Galaxy 8 phone, but performance is acceptable.

This is the worst tablet I have ever owned. It freezes all the time, and stays frozen. You have to turn off the tablet to unfreeze it, then you lose whatever it is youve typed. Its useless to me. Ive worked on cheap, no-name brands that have worked better than this. The screen shot feature is so inconvenient; I dont know what they were thinking. The home page starts in the middle. Just why? A reviewer here said it was about bloatware. The charging cord is too short. The clipboard is more mysterious than it should be. I researched tablets for 2 weeks in tech magazines before I bought this. I have never returned anything to Amazon before so I am really disgusted by the whole experience. I may never buy another Samsung product after this. There are no mid- priced 7 and 8 inch tablets. You either buy junk or shell out a ton of money for something that works. Asus had a great 8 inch tablet but iPad and Samsung hold most of the market now. iPads are just too expensive and this Samsung is just crap.

First one they sent had a non working data transfer connection in the plug. It also had clearly been dropped while in box. Box corner smashed in good. But the replacement was A ok

Having many Android devices, is taking a little time getting used to Samsungs modification of the standard UI. Summer are better, e.g. the app folders are much more customizable, and some are a little frustrating such as the collapsed Settings choices. Also, it only allows file transfers to the Download folder of the optional SD card and you then have to just other apps to file into appropriate folders. Bottom line is that any issue I have is with the learning curve on the UI and confusion why the standard Android apps like Clock and Calendar are duplicated with only minor tweaks. The hardware seems fine and responsive, but Im not a game player - I used it for email, social media, reading comic books and watching movies so of which of does fine. It also holds on to my wifi signal on tough parts of my apartment MUCH better than my more expensive Lenovo P10. 1280x800 resolution is fine for an 8 inch tablet like this; not so much in the 10 inch Lenovo. One of the few USEFUL small tablets left that isnt a Kindle( which has a restricted ecosystem); it seems the market has been replaced by large screen smartphones.

I have bought 4 of these in total because they have everything my 2 little girls need in a tablet. The first two lasted about four months. Both stopped working at the same time. Charging stopped working. Then I purchased these two. And here we are in July 22. Charging stopped on both again at the same time. And I just purchased them in September 21 I even purchased magnetic chargers so it didnt mess up the charging port and I didnt have to put the charger in every time. It still did the same thing. If these were made with better quality charging ports & hardware they would be great tablets. However they are not. Also you need a really good case & screen protector otherwise they do bust alot easier than other tablets I have purchased in the past. They do have great storage and touch screen but the flimsy charging port is going to cause you issues very quickly. Battery life was okay on 2 of the tabs but the other 2 required extra charge. I guess its luck of the draw. Save your money and research for something that has good battery life and charging capability. Take it from a Mom who just threw $650 down the drain on Galaxy Tab As.
